TheForkUserFantastic food, sensibly priced. Great for vegetarians. Best hummus I’ve ever tasted. And the halloumi was to die for! Bravo Matza, on a passé une excellente soirée grâce à vous!
TheForkUserWhen it is not too windy, which it can get at times, it is absolutely wonderful to sit outdoors and watch the locals swimming in perfectly clear water. Catch of the day was turbot and it was super fresh and expertly prepared with minimal intervention, drawing out the natural sweetness of the fish. The food here was good and the service commendable, but the views trump everything
TheForkUserEverything was great both food and service. The only remark would be that a lot of people smoked so that could be bothersome for non smokers.
TheForkUserA beautiful restaurant with quiet ambience and nice Corsican cuisine. The interior resembles a real mill - very cozy and stylish. The service was quick and efficient. The waiter was very polite and friendly and made us feel at home. It was my mom's birthday, so the restaurant lit a candle for her. All in all it was a superb dining experience!
TheForkUserWe had one of the best meals of our trip to France at this restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and the food was amazing. Would go again!
TheForkUserThe hosts Max and Natalie were amazing introducing themselves and the menu of the day! The food is almost entirely sourced locally, and very careful selected! All food flavors were outstanding, and the wines well matched! Overall outstanding! Merci!
TheForkUserWe tried our first truffel dinner in a beautiful restaurant. The truffel was very fresh. But the lamb was bit too dry.
TheForkUserThe sole waiter was engaging friendly and a bit frazzled but managed the front of the house well. The food was outstanding. My favorite meal after two weeks in Aix. The entrees and mains were imaginative but not overly fussy and memorable. I was a bit apprehensive about the stuffed cabbage but was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was.
TheForkUserThe food was delicious! We had the octopus salad and the Risotto St Jacques, both of which were excellent. The staff was very attentive and very helpful to two Americans who speak little French. (Their English was much better than our French!) They helped the member of our party who does not eat gluten navigate the menu (and there were quite a few menu options for him). A wonderful dining experience and we will definitely return.

TheForkUserTook the Symphonique Tasting menu. Stunning flavours, good portion size and incredible value for money in lovely surroundings. The slightly cheaper set menu would have been more than ample. Highly recommended. Close to to the old port but more relaxed in the middle of the Rugby World Cup.
TheForkUserA very big thank you at the owners they really helped us during dinner and were verry Kind to our friend how was in pain with her feet. They were very Kind.
TheForkUserLoved lots of aspects of the restaurant, from the friendliness and helpfulness of the servers, to the great playlist and fabulous food. Great ambiance.
TheForkUserThis restaurant is a must. The food is delicious to the last morsel. Great atmosphere. The staff are the best! Highly recommended.
TheForkUserSo many delicious choices - our table of 4 shared the stellar Paris Brest Salmon first course (a favorite from a previous visit) before getting individual entrees, plats, and desserts - all fabulous!
TheForkUserThe service and food quality were great. Would return.
TheForkUserWe had a lovely dinner at Chez Nine - the food was truly exceptional (particularly the lamb) and the waitress was very nice and attentive. The setting is cosy and nicely tucked away from the tourist spots. It feels like a family run restaurant, and has a unique charm.
TheForkUserService was great, everyone was so nice, helpful and quick! They gave great recommendations that fit well to our liking. Food was really fresh and flavourful. When we wanted to have the steak just a bit less rare they replated up the dish which was a simple but a nice touch. Overall a really nice experience and we will definitely return next time we’re in La Ciotat! :) Highly recommend!!
TheForkUserBeautiful restaurant, great staff and excellent food. Comfortable terrace with a view of St. Victoire. We will definitely return!!!
TheForkUserIt was my husband´s birthday and we were given a glass of champagne at the start, which set the tone for the rest of the evening. the service was excellent, the choice of wines immense, if not a little daunting and the steaks were fabulous.Happy to recommend and will come back next time we return to Marseille
TheForkUserwe were last at cafe bovo 12 months ago and had a great experience. Last night was even better. The food is imaginative, well presented and beautifully cooked. Our server, Noah was amazing explaining all the dishes, recommending, answering any questions on ingredients etc. Excellent experience, very good value for the quality of food and experience. Highly recommend
TheForkUserThis restaurant was everything I had hoped for on a short break to Marseille.Great food, authentic to its roots in Corsica. The cheese & meat platters among the best I ever had.The staff were super friendly and the restaurant has a warm family run ambience. It’s close to the metro tram & bus system, so easy to get to.Don’t miss going to see their meat, cheese @ wine store. If you are very lucky, one of the family, who are obviously and justifiably proud of it, may open the door a little to allow you to smell the amazing aroma inside. Amazing !We visited on our first evening here but I’m sure it will be the memorable highlight to our visit.
TheForkUserThe view of the Old Port is breathtaking. The food is delicious; Elevated cuisine but in decent portions. The service is friendly without being pretentious.
TheForkUserWe chose the whole sea bass. It was nicely seasoned and beautifully cooked and served with a delicious aioli, polenta and an assortment of crisp vegetables.
TheForkUserThis was our second time at l'Estellan and it was just as good as we remembered. The meal was stellar and the service was exceptional. The tataki de taureau was delicious.
TheForkUserFood was excellent. Innovative, subtil with a local touch. Beautiful presentation and plates. Service is attentice.View is wonderful, especially in the evening with the sunset.A couple of areas for improvement;- reservation can be made by the Fork, but it will not ask for credit card number to secure the booking- so you have to call separately so they send you a link- cumbersome, especially if you are not aware of this.- second, more annoying, I knew it was difficult to park in Bandol in the evening and I called to know if they had parking. They reassured me they had valet. However, when we arrived, the valet refused to take our car, as their parking was full. My husband then spent 30 minutes finding a place far away. Had they managed our expectations, we would have planned differently and avoided the poor experience coming in.
TheForkUserHe had a wonderful meal there last night. My children very much appreciated the children’s menu. And my mussels were outstanding and plentiful. Our server was extremely gracious and kind.
TheForkUseri asked the owner what to chose between the risotto marinara 21e and the milanese fried steak 23e. I like how he said go for the cheaper one its better. Turns out it was better than expected. very generous portion, full of seafood. a tad on the salty side but still within acceptable margins
TheForkUserThis is a go to for me when I'm in the area. Very friendly owners, and a charming setting exemplary of a Provincial atmosphere. Michel and William put a lot of effort into preparing the food and it shows. I enjoy the patio setting but the weather was not cooperating so we sat inside. Still very enjoyable.
