TheForkUserWhat a marvelous place! The staff are lovely, the food is exquisite, the setting is dreamy, and their shrimp rice was so utterly addictive that my wife could not stop eating it. All around a truly remarkable gem that we will never forget
TheForkUserWe enjoyed the regional food. I particularly enjoyed the locally produced Cachena beef. The waiters were friendly and attentive.
TheForkUserElegant restaurant with friendly, efficient service. We were impressed with everything we ordered; the filet mignon was perfectly cooked and married well with the chestnut puree. I loved the duck confit - tender and perfectly seasoned (not salty), the orange reduction cutting the richness of the bean puree. Generous portion of gambas Al alho. However, the cast iron dish in which it was served was cold so that the gambas meat was warm inside but the shell was cold. I was expecting the dish to be piping hot with stronger garlic flavor.
TheForkUserwonderful views and food ¡¡¡ price was ok and the restaurant is very nice. Restaurant is in a castle with views of the valley.. Fodd is wonderful, Portuguese meat of excellent quality.
TheForkUserGreat location in a well-preserved 12th-century monastery. A good menu of regional dishes paired with great local wines like Godello or Mencia. The dining room is located in the old staples with impressive stone arches. Professional staff taking care of every detail. Very children-friendly. It is worth visiting this part of Ribeira Sacra.
TheForkUserSophisticated ambience in a historical Portuguese manor house. Creative take on Portuguese classics with premium ingredients. Friendly and informative service. Highly recommend
TheForkUserExcellent quality food and service was impeccable in this restaurant. Pricing was quite affordable and really worth the value.
