Lovely little independent spot. The coffee was really good, proper strong. I liked that you could sit outside on the pavement or tuck into a cosy corner inside. Just the right kind of pause in a busy day.

Friendly family-run spot. Staff are consistently pleasant and attentive, which makes a difference.

The chicken shish here is top-tier for Eastbourne. What really got me was the homemade chilli sauce - so fresh and tangy, I ended up asking for an extra little pot of it. A proper find!

Been coming to Hastings for years, and the presentation here really stood out. The flavours were spot on. A nice glass of red was the perfect match for the rich main course. Service was top-notch too.

Looks a bit rough from the outside, but it's a proper old pub inside. They've got a good few beers on, even some of their own. Decent spot for a quiet pint.

Service was a real highlight. The staff were so attentive and friendly, with a great sense of humour. They made our large group feel really well looked after.

Booked a table for a group of us and the staff were so helpful with spacing us out. The sharing platter was a hit, perfect for passing around and chatting. Definitely need to book ahead though, it gets busy!

The chicken pad kra pow was pretty good. Decent amount of meat, and the chili garlic sauce had a nice kick to it. A solid choice for a quick lunch.

The fish was cooked fresh to order, which was nice. It had a lovely flaky texture and the batter was light and crisp. A solid choice, though the portion felt a touch small for the price.

Popped in for a coffee and a croissant. Ended up just watching the bakers knead dough through the window for ages. So relaxing. The croissant was buttery and flaky, perfect with a flat white. A nice little escape.

The owner always stops by to say hello, which is a really nice touch. Makes the place feel welcoming.

Eggs Royale was lovely, service was just right. But honestly, for £17, I was hoping for a bit more on the plate. The portion felt a touch small for the price. Nice spot though.

Ordered for a late pickup after a long meeting. Staff were efficient and polite, no fuss. Food was still hot, tasted good. Price felt fair for the quality.

The sausages in the full English were really good quality, and the hash browns tasted freshly made. Generous portions too.

Maryanne was so lovely and attentive. She double-checked everything for our nut allergy without making a fuss. The whole meal just felt safe and relaxed because of her. Really appreciated that.

Friendly staff and a comfy booth made for a nice, relaxed breakfast. The full English was solid and the coffee kept coming.

Popped into Horsham for a bite. The service really stood out – our waiter was super attentive without being overbearing, and had a genuine smile the whole time. Made the whole meal feel really relaxed.

Solid burger and chips, exactly what I was after. The real star was the craft beer list – a nice pale ale cut through the richness perfectly. A step above the usual fast-food fare for sure.

The breakfast is the thing here. The eggs are cooked just right, the bacon is crispy, and the toast is thick-cut and buttery. It's simple, but they get it spot on. Perfect for grabbing something solid before the morning train.

The team here are just lovely. So warm and genuine, it really does feel like you're popping into a friend's place. Noticed a few fun little details in the decor too, which was a nice touch.

Been coming here for years, and the afternoon tea is always spot on. Those scones? Still warm from the oven every single time. You can tell they don't cut corners.

Dog-friendly spot, which is a plus. Food's solid for the price. Had the fish and chips, crispy batter and decent portion. Service was quick and friendly. Nothing fancy, but does the job well.

First time here and the gluten-free menu is massive. Had the Full English, came out steaming hot. Coffee was spot on.

The black bean beef had a really nice depth of flavour, and the egg fried rice was spot on – light and not oily. Portions were decent for the price. Just wish the sauce on the beef was a touch thicker, but it was still a tasty meal.

First time trying the hot pot here. The staff really took their time explaining the different broths and how to mix the sauces. The all-you-can-eat deal is solid, you get plenty of sides included.

Been coming here for years for their afternoon tea. The sandwiches are always fresh, and the cakes are homemade. It's a nice little spot off the main road. Gets a bit busy on weekends though.

The chicken jalfrezi here has a nice kick to it, almost like a tandoori flavour. Got a huge portion delivered, and the driver was a really friendly chap. Solid for a random Tuesday night.
