The steak was cooked well, service was attentive without being intrusive. Atmosphere is relaxed, good for a business dinner. A bit on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for.

Lovely traditional pub in the Old Town, perfect spot after a stroll by the harbour. The atmosphere is so warm and cosy. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made for a very relaxed visit. My only small note is that the bench seating was a bit hard after a while.

Been coming here for years. The prices are still fair, portions are generous. Hard to find that combo in a place with this much history.

The duck red Thai curry is my go-to. It's never greasy, which is a huge plus for a takeout spot. Just had it again tonight, and it's always spot on.

Decent hot breakfast, good value. Staff were quick and friendly. Tea refills kept coming without asking, which was nice. It was quiet on a Sunday morning, just what we wanted. The bacon was a bit overdone for my taste, but everything else was spot on.

Came here for the fish and chips on a lovely sunny afternoon. The fish was fresh, but the chips were the real standout – so much better than the usual. Really appreciated the comfortable booth seating, made it a very relaxed meal.

The fish and chips are cooked to order, so there's always a short wait. Worth it though – the batter is really light and crispy, and the fish is fresh. A solid choice for a quick bite.

The burger's quality is there, you can taste it in the patty. A bit pricey, but it's a solid splurge.

The refurb looks nice, but honestly, I'm just here for the food. The grilled octopus starter was the standout. Perfectly charred, tender inside, with a smoky, lemony flavour that was spot on. Could have done with a touch more seasoning, but the texture was just right.

Perfect for a quick bite. The breakfast deal is unbeatable value. Staff are fast and friendly.

The set menu is a great deal. The portions are generous, and I really appreciated how fresh the ingredients in the pasta were.

Just popped in for a quick bite. The bacon was the highlight - really thick and cooked just right. Food comes out fast and hot. Simple, solid spot.

The staff were so warm and genuine. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. I wish it wasn’t such a trek from my flat, honestly.

Been going here for years. Love that you can bring your own bottle, keeps the bill down. Had a nice, simple meal last Friday, just felt like a relaxed night out.

The curries are always spot on, and they give you so much! It’s our regular for takeaway now. The lamb rogan josh is my favourite – so tender and the sauce is just right.

The pub itself is gorgeous, really lovely setting. I was pleased to see they had a few lighter options on the menu. The salad I ordered was fresh, with crisp greens and a nice variety of vegetables. No table service, but that was fine for a quick lunch.

Always a lively spot. The unlimited fries are a nice touch, and the food is reliably good. Had a decent Pinot Noir with the steak, though the wine list could use a few more interesting options.

Looks unassuming from outside, but the food's pretty good. The dhansak had a nice, building heat to it.

Came for a birthday dinner. Victor and Valya looked after us well, very friendly. Food was tasty, no complaints there. It was a nice, relaxed evening.

Had my friend's party in the private room. It was so nice to chat properly even with the main bar being packed for the rugby.

Been coming here for years now. What keeps me coming back is the ale selection – always something new on tap, and it’s always spot on. Properly kept, never a bad pint. That consistency is hard to find.

Staff were great with my nut allergy. Checked everything twice, no fuss. Felt safe eating here.

Love popping in here for a Sunday roast with friends. It's always so hearty and filling, perfect for a lazy weekend catch-up. The beef was spot on this time. Such a cosy spot for a group.
