TheForkUserThe food was exceptional, I could say that here I was served with the best steak I have ever eaten. The staff was friendly but a bit overwhelmed, the waiting times are very long, whether I wanted to order or pay. The location is nice and clean, there is also a terrace. The prices are high but the quality is also worth it. If I end up in Catania again I will definitely pay them a visit.

TheForkUserWe started with carpaccio and moved onto tagliata & filet, accompanied by a Donnafugata Nero D’Avola. For sides, a delicious tomato salad with capers & olives + a potato & spinach cake. To finish (and digest), Vecchio Amaro del Capo. The tagliata was good but the filet is NOT what we think of as filet; it was gristly and chewy. Service was excellent!

TheForkUserThe restaurant is a little off the beaten track but worth making the effort for - you would be advised to book ahead as it was fully booked when we visited.For our starters two of us ordered the Angus meatballs (they were lovely and you get a large portion - enough to share) and two of us ordered the melted provolone cheese (again a lovely dish).It was meat all round for our main courses with two of us ordering the filet steak and two the ribeye - the steaks were very good. The restaurant is owned and run by a husband and wife combination and the service from them and all the team was very good - great explanation of the dishes and friendly service.We enjoyed a bottle of Etna Rosso Sensi from Cantine Patria, made exclusively from the nerello mascalese grape, with our dinner and it was really nice.A lovely meal with great service - we would be recommend dining there to anyone.

We started with caponata in a parmigiana basket and a selection of mortadellas. For main courses, we had one of the house specialties, the veal fillet; one of us had it with a sauce of sautéed porcini mushrooms & black truffles, and the other, with a Sicilian citrus sauce. As a side dish, roasted potatoes with a breadcrumb crust. For dessert, tiramisu and amari.

TheForkUserI chose this restaurant as it was one of the top rated restaurants in catania on the fork app. it's rating is very appropriate. my booking was early on in the evening so we were the only party but it got busier around 9pm. the staff were very accommodating and were really polite. the food was beyond expectations. I would highly recommend if you are in catania.
