TheForkUserSo to start, the food was really excellent and the place had really nice selection of wines and local delicatessen, it was cozy and in the city center, but the service was really bad. We felt like if we were not welcome and were too much to the place, they had cancelled our reservation as we arrived 14 minutes late, so after that we said we got lost in the medieval city on the way from the Pope's palace, they activated it again. This small family restaurant, owned and operated by generations since 1964, has beautiful views of the lake below.We did the ala carte menu. My wife loved the artichoke starter. TheForkUserWe are frequent guests at Le Tartare yesterday we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary there enjoying a gift card from our son and daughter-in-law for lunch. We were presented with a long stemmed, red rose in a beautiful arrangement and crisp cold white wine when we arrived. The quality of the food is consistently excellent, and is only surpassed by the warmth of the staff and Maurizio! We have come to feel like family. We will return again again.
