_TI***gwI had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing excellent recommendations. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food offered.
TheForkUserwhat an amazing and awesome dîner for the new year eve night. we loved the atmosphere and the traditional look of a real hosteria. the menu was off the hook and the service was so kind and gentle. they could have installed way more people for this dinner but they decided to keep it low key and family home one we did really appreciated this. a must place to visit if you want to have a traditional look and taste of the Florentine food. thanks a lot
TheForkUserFantastic restaurant in a great location near The Arno. Great menu so good we are going back tomorrow night! Highly recommended lovely staff
_TI***m7The asparagus and cheese risotto was absolutely divine, and the wild boar pappardelle was just as exquisite even without the parmesan.
TheForkUserGreat restaurant with a lovely view of Duomo. We had the Florentine Steak with sides - all delicious. The waiters were pleasant and accommodating. We had an excellent meal and a very enjoyable evening.
TheForkUserIt is not what you expect as you walk in the door. There are different sections so you can do the beer-in-the-street, snappy pizza at th front or casual fine dining in the garden room at the back. There was a warm, inviting atmpsohere, with nice lighting, low music and tasteful surroundings. Our service was excellent and the food was really, really delicious. Wish it was round the corner back home.
TheForkUserThe food was excellent particularly the steaks. The service was very attentive and friendly. We would definitely come back.
_TI***dmThe food at Lo Stravagante is simply outstanding! The homemade pasta is incredibly fresh, and the attention to detail in every dish is evident. A must-try for anyone visiting Florence!
TheForkUserThe restaurant itself is such a comfortable atmosphere. Two small rooms with candles on the tables that provide an intimate feel and the food was incredible. We had a very nice traditional crostini with liver pate and a pasta dish. I ordered a simple fettuccini with bolognese sauce but there was nothing simple about the fettuccini. It was truly as good or better than any pasta I've ever tasted - and I've been fortunate to spend a great deal of time in Italy. My wife ordered the pear and pecorino ravioli and reported it to be the best pasta dish she's ever tasted. So, what began as a quiet, smallish meal turned into one of the finest tasting meals of our weeklong stay in Florence. Don't be fooled by this little unassuming looking place on the Piazza, see for yourself. I couldn't give a higher recommendation!
TheForkUserOutstanding! Fine dining at its best. A refreshing change from the many good restaurants where we have dined in Florence. Very different menu compared to most in Florence. Presentation of each dish was amazing. Definately a find!
TheForkUserThis restaurant had great ambiance and food everyone in our family enjoyed! We had reservations and sat inside, it was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We dressed casually and fit in just fine. There was a station near us where the meat/cheese/crostini trays were being assembled and fresh meat being sliced and placed directly on trays. We enjoyed our pasta, pizza & Florentine steak and would recommend this place as a restaurant that'll please the whole family!
TheForkUserThis restaurant is so well organized and such a georgeous ancient walls and ceiling , worth eating high quality meat and worth Beeing entertained by empathetic staff , the head butler Luca is so well educated and professional , service is fast and friendly , I will definitely come back very soon
TheForkUserWhat a gem of a find. I booked Gilda thinking it was another restaurant that was recommended to me, but I’m glad I made the mistake. Gilda is very rustic, operated by a family and the food was amazing. Fresh, wholesome Florentine, creative food. The decor is rustic eclectic and my friend and I were the only tourists. The rest of the diners were local business people. We will definitely go back.
_TI***cyThis café has a charming atmosphere with cozy vibes and beautifully made coffee. It's a perfect stop in the heart of Florence, and Tomas provided amazing service!
TheForkUserI continue to return to Natalino each time I can visit Florence. The food is very good especially the finocchini with pear and Gorgonzola. It is a memorable dish that is rarely seen on menus. The beef is also excellent. Definitely worth a visit.
TheForkUserGreat service leading to the best roast pork I’ve ever eaten, nice wine, and very reasonable bill. Thanks for a very pleasant evening.
TheForkUserThe food was extremely delicious. The ambience was great! Super beautiful next to the duomo. The only thing is that they took super long to give us the food. Were waiting for 1 hour, though it was dinner time on a Friday night
TheForkUserFor his first day in office, the waiter has done a very good job ! The foos is delicious, and with more cosy lights and a quieter environment, it would be perfect to us !
_TI***beThe Pizzeria Antica Badia offers a delightful dining experience with excellent service and a menu that features high-quality pizzas and pastas. The atmosphere is simple yet inviting, making it a great spot for both lunch and dinner.
TheForkUserThis place was highly recommended by our hotel owner and it didn’t disappoint, the waiter was really funny and spoke very good English. The kids want to go back tomorrow night. The food was amazing.
TheForkUserRicardo was so patient and friendly while helping us choose our meals and drinks. The restaurant is lovely and the food is amazing. We dined twice during our stay in Florence - favorites were the formatino, lasagne sorrentina, and the tagliatelle ragu! Don't forget to order cheesecake or tiramisu ❤️
TheForkUserThe restaurant is quiet and with a lovely atmosphere. The food is very good and the service fast and professional. I highly recommend this place (prices are medium-high which is normal for the very centre if Florence, but it is worth spending for a so lovely meal).
TheForkUserThe owner is warm, friendly, and a phenomenal host. We enjoyed it so much that we came back again and if we had time, we would come back again and again! The food is authentic Italian and delicious!!
TheForkUserWe have visited Fiesole from Australia several times over the years and each time we have eaten here. Food is excellent we highly recommend the Bistecca Fiorentina. Waiters were generally friendly except on one occasion we struck a rather rude and indifferent character.
TheForkUserSecond visit, equally wonderful. Set in Fiesole centre with tables outside, a very nice experience. Food was very good and just like the pictures shown on other posts, with ingredients locally sourced right down to the honey. Stuffed peppers were not what we expected and a pleasant surprise with tastes of Thailand. Cold tomato soup again a surprise, it's shrimp with diced fruits in a little tomato juice, very refreshing. Pork medallions soft and gently cooked with a nice honey sauce was delicate flavours.Bit disappointed with the steak not peppery as advertised, but cooked nice wirh a good char, potatoes were great. The agnolotti was a beautiful, yellow tomato sauce and stuffed with tuscan sausage, a must. The most unexpected carrot cake, a delight.Staff very nice, very helpful, seats a bit uncomfortable, on 2nd visit enjoyed comfy seats inside.
TheForkUserA fabulous evening with inventive and very tasty cuisine. The service was impeccable and friendly. I admire the thought and creativity that went into the tasting menu and getting it all just right Very memorable and special
