TheForkUserThis little restaurant is a great find. It’s a bit off the beaten path, a decent walk away from the center. Super casual. Menu is on a chalkboard. Very clean and cozy space. The service was a bit slow and they didn’t open at their listed time. But the food was fantastic and worth the wait. The arancino was fabulous.

TheForkUserFood and service was wonderful - very nicely appointed restaurant; off a lovely square - it is part of a hotel that seemed very nice!One thing that we saw was a young boy being chased out of the restaurant rather severely by the waiter that I wondered about... Until we later learned that children are being used to steal, so I think my friend's purse might have been misappropriated except for the waiter's fast reaction time.

The young man serving us was so friendly and helpful. Menu was fairly limited but we each enjoyed what we had ordered. Very reasonably priced restaurant with good service and a clean tidy establishment. Would definitely eat her again.

TheForkUserGreat little restaurant with loads of atmosphere. My wife and I between us had tagliolini and truffles, salad caprese, steak florentine for one and the aubergine main. All were outstanding. 2 nice wines, a Chardonnay and a Chianti rounded off the meal. Service was very friendly and a special thanks to our lovely young waitress. Prices were very fairer €22.50 for the steak (which I couldn’t finish - it was large). Highly recommend but you’ll need to book. It was humming on a Saturday night!

TheForkUserWe ate inside which is our recommendation due to the crowds in Piazza Santa Croce.It was quiet and peaceful. The service was outstanding ( Aldo) and the Bistecca one of the all time best ( we had a " chianina" steak) we have had in our many visits to Florence. This is not a fancy place but rather very homey and comfortable, very welcoming. And although not obvious from the interior, the wine list by the bottle was very good. The location is in a touristy area but we read about the steak here in the Florentine Newsletter where they gave this restaurant a very high rating. We were pleased to see many locals and highly recommend Bisteccheria Santa Croce to the" bistecca fiorentina " experience.

TheForkUserwhat an amazing and awesome dîner for the new year eve night. we loved the atmosphere and the traditional look of a real hosteria. the menu was off the hook and the service was so kind and gentle. they could have installed way more people for this dinner but they decided to keep it low key and family home one we did really appreciated this. a must place to visit if you want to have a traditional look and taste of the Florentine food. thanks a lot

TheForkUserThe restaurant itself is such a comfortable atmosphere. Two small rooms with candles on the tables that provide an intimate feel and the food was incredible. We had a very nice traditional crostini with liver pate and a pasta dish. I ordered a simple fettuccini with bolognese sauce but there was nothing simple about the fettuccini. It was truly as good or better than any pasta I've ever tasted - and I've been fortunate to spend a great deal of time in Italy. My wife ordered the pear and pecorino ravioli and reported it to be the best pasta dish she's ever tasted. So, what began as a quiet, smallish meal turned into one of the finest tasting meals of our weeklong stay in Florence. Don't be fooled by this little unassuming looking place on the Piazza, see for yourself. I couldn't give a higher recommendation!
