Booked ahead for Saturday dinner, glad we did. The place was packed by 7. Had a nice Pinot Noir with the steak, it really worked. A bit loud when full, but that&#39;s expected.

It&rsquo;s definitely on our list to do when we visit Ipoh! There are so so many choices and restaurants to be chose from in Ipoh and all comes with pretty good review. We picked Chooi Yue Dim Sum after having a hard time choosing and we were right. We all left with happy and very full tummy.Be sure to get there early as there was already a long queue when we reached around 930 in the morning. Once we got in, we were so spoiled with choices of dim sum! We ordered the classic Char Siew Pau, egg tarts, yam puff, siew mai, carrot cake. My personal favourite would be the liu sha pau that was stuffed with piping hot, smooth, creamy and buttery filling. The fried stuff were also nicely done, those were crispy and fragrant. Not forget to mention, the price point was very very reasonable! I can&rsquo;t praise enough for this restaurant.All in all, I highly recommend a visit to Chooi Yue restaurant for Dim Sum if you are in Ipoh ! It&rsquo;s definitely worth the wait.

Convenient spot with a good mix of local and western food. The booths are really comfortable for a relaxed meal.

Second time here, the white tom yum really hit the spot on a chilly evening. Just the right level of heat to warm you up. Portion was decent for the price. I&#39;ll be back for that soup.

Liew Kee (Ah Lek) Chee Cheong Fun is a famous local dish in Teluk Intan. Located in 19, Jalan Pasir Bedamar, Pekan Teluk Intan, Teluk Intan, Perak. This eatery mainly for take away, just a few tables for dined in. Their Chee Cheong Fun is delicious and with affordable price(RM7.50 per pack).

Came for the chicken, stayed for the drinks. The local version is less salty than the US one, which I actually prefer. It let the natural flavors come through. Paired it with a surprisingly good local lager they suggested. That combo just worked.
