TheForkUserThis was only my second visit / pilgrimage to La Lanterna as I don’t live in Umbria. So I chose the same 3 dishes to see whether I had imagined the quality and taste experienced during my first visit. I HAD NOT! It was just as wonderful. And all the other customers were Italian which is always a good sign. And thank you Claudio and Paola for your lovely warm welcome. See you very soon!
TheForkUserThe food was great, ambience too,but the time they took to serve the food?absolutely ridiculous, we were in that restaurant for 5 hours,ya FIVE HOURSSS,i wouldnt blame them either,i think its their first time have all of their seats booked, they were absolutely clueless on how to handle the situation, the food was great, heck it was awesome, the ambience was pleasant, but the time we waited just for our appetizers was ridiculous.
TheForkUserWelcoming staff who definitely care about what they do and about how guests feel. Great quality food with all local produce, home made bread. They take food and wine seriously, the wine list is full of interesting stuff and prices very reasonable when checked against the internet.Ignore reviews that mention a long wait, what we experienced were times you’d expect for something to be made fresh, nothing more. Recommend the green salad which didn’t appear on the menu but was absolutely delicious - with fennel and various leaves.Restaurant has a great spirit - our nicest evening in Umbria so far.
_TI***l3The restaurant is known for its good quality dishes, and guests can enjoy a 10% discount if they are staying at the hotel, which adds to the value.
TheForkUserOur dining experience far surpassed 5 stars! The staff were helpful, friendly and provided exceptional recommendations for our dining experience. The wine selection was exquisite. Thank you Gus’ staff for such an incredible experience!
TheForkUserThis restaurant is really a pleasure to try. The food is amazing and meticulously presented. The waiters are very helpful and knowledgeable. The ambiance is open, modern and very clean. Also a peek into the large clean kitchen is encouraging. I’ll go back anytime I’m in Terni.
TheForkUserFood was amazing
TheForkUserVery good experience. Exceptional food and service.
TheForkUserThis is an interesting space overlooking an ancient Romam home. The food was superb as was the wine. We really enjoyed the meal.
_TI***lbI was impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the food. The prices are reasonable considering the high standard of service and cuisine offered.
TheForkUserWe enjoyed an exceptional lunch at this charming restaurant. It is Michelin recognised and recognised by the Italian chefs association. This small family restaurant, owned and operated by generations since 1964, has beautiful views of the lake below. We did the ala carte menu. My wife loved the artichoke starter. We had the venison, our friends had the pigeon and loved it. The spice cake chocolate dessert was amazing. We had a beautiful local red wine, highly rated on Vivino and reasonably priced. The host, Luca, is the brother of the chef, Paulo Trippini, the bar next door is operated by their sister.
TheForkUserWe had a very nice dinner. The real standouts were the salads and the truffle toast appetizer. Service was excellent.
TheForkUserWe really enjoyed to have a lunch at La Vista ! Splendid lake view, super helpful and professional staff, delicious food ! Thanks for all!
TheForkUserThe restaurant was effortlessly located. Despite being an hour late, the restaurant graciously saved our table. The service was impeccable - neither too fast nor slow. The owner's warmth was truly memorable, and our conversation about the restaurant's history was enlightening. The food was exquisite, and the taste of the bruschetta still lingers in my memory as unparalleled. As a vegetarian, I discovered delightful dishes and effortlessly harmonized my meal with that of my carnivorous husband. Great restaurant to go
TheForkUserThe kitchen is excellent, huge care taken with each dish. A Sicilian angle on the menu with big robust flavours. The local Piediluco fish dishes unique to the lake were excellent and super fresh. I’ve been here several times before and the place never fails to hit its high standards. We’ll be back.
TheForkUserThe staff was very welcoming and the atmosphere was really nice and cozy. The food was excellent. My husband and I will definitely go back and we strongly recommend the place if you like good food and good wine.
TheForkUserGreat restaurant. We got there early so we had the place to ourselves but it was filling up as we left so booking definitely advisable.
TheForkUserWhat a great italian experience.Friendly staff they make you feel very welcome. The food tasted lovely.Pure and fresh.
_TI***ddA must-visit for anyone in Todi! The combination of quality food, friendly service, and a beautiful location makes this place stand out. The desserts, especially the homemade tiramisu, are a delightful way to end your meal.
TheForkUserWhen you finally found the restaurant which is only possible with help by phoning the owner you are totally satisfied. The menue is very interesting, good quality, the staff is friendly and fast. We were really satisfied in all aspects even I was nearly furious when searching the place and driving around like a fool. The tartare from gamberi wasn't perhaps the optimum as it would have needed more avocado dip. All the rest was to our absolute satisfaction. Also wine by the glass. Price/quality and discount were very good.
TheForkUserIf you want to experience the best in fine dining here in Umbria then go no further than Tenuta Marchesi Fezia in Narni!! . We are on vacation from the US and ignorantly and embarrassingly don’t speak Italian nor can we read it. Step in…chef Sergio!!! He is amazing. He asks you what type of food you like, fish, pasta, steak and then creates something from your best gastronomical dreams!! The blending of flavors, the preparation amazing. Presentation is exquisite!! There will be a line at the door!!! Just fantastic!!!????????????
_TI***etThis restaurant is a hidden gem in Assisi, combining local ingredients with Indian spices. The ambiance is relaxing, and the food is fresh and interesting, making it a great place for a memorable meal.
TheForkUserGreat food, especially the gluten free pizza, one of the best one I've ever tasted!
TheForkUserThe location was absolutely beautiful. The service and the welcoming was great. We really enjoyed our dinner. Excellent food and wine.
TheForkUserThe dinner was quite good. I had the salmon tartare with Venus rice and avocado which was excellent. The grilled sea bass was excellent. The whole fish was grilled but they filleted it for you after upon request. My husband ordered the fixed menu. His Risotto was heavy and a large portion was served. There was one mussel and two scallops on the top. Very rich a large serving for his primo. He ordered the pork and potatoes which he enjoyed a great deal. Then he ended his meal with tirimisu, which was delicious. The service was lacking. It took us quite a while to get seated even though we had reservations and the dining room was pretty empty. There was no waiter out in the dining room for quite some time and one of the hotel employees came from the lobby bar to assist. One waiter was on for the whole evening service. Once the girl from the lobby helped, the server could catch up and he was quite nice. Definitely worth the trip!
