TheForkUserAmbiance, food and staff. Very friendly and lively place. My favourite restaurant owned by Thais so the food is authentic.
TheForkUserLovely service, lovely food. Should be clearer that it's in a (superb) retirement village, we're happy with that and will be back, but might not be for everyone
TheForkUserExcellent, warm, friendly service. Food was absolutely delicious. It was my husbands birthday and they made us feel so special.
TheForkUserReally friendly service. The carvery was all quite fresh, gammon turkey pork beef and lamb to choose from. Vegetables were good especially roast potatoes, we will definitely be back!
TheForkUserAs always, good service and good food. Cranberry sauce, etc needed topping up. We were one of the last tables to leave but at no point did we feel rushed. Highly recommended.
TheForkUserI’ve been eating at Toby Horsforth for years and have never had a problem with any of the carvery meals there. The staff have always been professional so I can’t knock anything at all.
TheForkUserWe had a friendly welcome. Staff were very friendly and helpful all evening. Lovely relaxed atmosphere food and service very good.
TheForkUserThe staff were very pleasant, professional and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was top notch. The waiting time for a Sunday wasn’t that bad and all the staff made sure we were okay with our table , meal and drinks.
TheForkUserThe service was exceptional, the food was a very high standard and served on hot plates which most other restaurants fail to realise is the key to keeping the food warm
TheForkUserSunday lunch today was our second meal here after an excellent prix fixe dinner earlier in the week. Everything from the buffet spread to start with to the main meal and dessert was first-rate, made even more special by the fact that the expected sirloin of beef was replaced by chateaubriand! Served pink at our request it was tender and succulent. Fullmarks to the chef and to Will our genial and professional server.
TheForkUserCame for my Mum's birthday and they made it very special staff were really friendly and really enjoyed our afternoon tea
TheForkUserAs a regular diner on a wednesday afternoon. I cannot fault the food or the service at Toby Carvery Chapel Allerton. The food is always presented well, meat portion sizes are generous and the surroundings are always comfortable.
TheForkUserTable was booked for 1800hrs Was shown immediately to our table. Although it was very busy service was quick and efficient. Food was very good and plentiful Staff were very helpful and polite.
TheForkUserExcellent pub, obviously loved by the locals who booked it out - so make sure you have a reservation. 6.30 seems to be when they all flock in. Our table was for 7pm so we ended up having a bit of a wait and to make an alternative choice for mains as ours was sold out. Well kept cellar - excellent beers and plenty of cocktails available. Will return when next in York
TheForkUserVery impressed. I only made the booking as i bought a brand new Car and wanted to go for an hour drive. Lets just say i will be visiting again in the very near future. The eating area behind with the sun shining down and the most tasteful food served made it very memorable.
TheForkUserDinner out of this world was a really good carvery plenty meat staff more than freindly and help full good valve for money be goin again 10/10
TheForkUserHad a lovely lunch with family, we asked to sit in a quieter area hence we're away from view of staff in a raised area - despite us being out of view the staff were very attentive making sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely eat at Fire Lake again
TheForkUserLong time since I visited this restaurant wont be as long next time.Lovely and clean.Nicely decorated. Polite and friendly staff.Food was delicious. We went as a family of four adults. Were all pleased and will definitely recommend and return.
TheForkUserGreat place, friendly staff good GF options! Pizza/burgers also looked great. Beer pong and good cocktails on offer
TheForkUserWe had a family meal for six there and everyone enjoyed their meal.Staff were friendly and attentive but let us enjoy our meal in peace which we appreciated.Thank you Red Lion. We will come back.
TheForkUserOur server, Millie really went the extra mile and was so incredibly thorough with the order when we let her know that someone in the party had issues with dairy. Fab food, fab service and great atmosphere - will definitely go back
TheForkUserStaff very friendly from the moment we went into the bar area. Service great, very informative, just a lovely relaxed vibe. Restaurant staff all very friendly and attentive. Menu excellent, served in good time, tasty well presented. Will definitely recommend and we will go back again, soon. Good experience.
TheForkUserJust really well run. They did everything right, food was lovely & well-priced & service staff well trained. How to do a local restaurant proper.
TheForkUserthey have some lovely fluffy cats. it's all very chilled and they have a good system to avoid food contamination. they separate waiting and cat handling staff. Very sensible.
TheForkUserWe had a family gathering, reflecting on the loss of a family member. The ambience and quality of environment at the Cow and Calf were excellent and we were seated at a lovely table. Each of us enjoyed our meals which were well-presented and delicious. The service was generally great. Coffees and drinks, however, were served so violently that they banged down loudly on the table and the coffees all slopped into their saucers. So extreme that it was comic, I actually laughed out loud, but this didn’t spoil our experience.
RoamFreeOn a recent visit to Bettys Cafe and Tea Room in Harrogate, I was completely charmed. From the moment I walked in, the warm atmosphere and gentle buzz of conversation made me feel right at home. The staff were lovely and guided my wife and I to a cozy corner overlooking the memorial. We had a cheese scone and a fruit tart to share and for drinks we had a hot chocolate and a latte. The scone was heavenly scones, and the tart was fresh and tasty, it looked almost too good to eat. The m whole experience was lovely. This visit tells me why Bettys is such a beloved spot, offering elegance with a touch of nostalgic charm.#bettystearoom#harrogate
