TheForkUserThis was one of the finest meals I had during my week in Avignon. More casual and relaxed than the other top two places. Great for families, inexpensive and servings to satisfy the biggest eaters. The owner actively involved with every guest party. A French proprietor fascinated by Italian cuisine. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
TheForkUserI believe this was the most friendly and genuinely positive serving staff I have encountered in years. The food was excellent, but made all the better by the warm reception. What a pleasurable evening for us and for every table around us, whether French or English speaking.
TheForkUserA very talented chef with a light touch and a passion for local quality ingredients. The seafood, oviously from further afield, is prepared perfectly . Caring and thoughtful service. A pleasant, if somewhat generic dining room,
TheForkUserGreat little place which we look forward to come back again when the outside terrace is open. The chef is clearly passionate about his trade! And lovely service too.
TheForkUserLovely setting in a beautiful garden. The food was very good, and the waiters were super friendly. I enjoyed my evening very much.
TheForkUserWe looked at the menu online and had picked out two items which attracted us to the restaurant ( anchovy starter and duck main dish). Unfortunately both of the items were gone from the menu at the restaurant. We 0rdered the sliced beef on arugula, and although tasty, the meat was a bit tough in spots. But overall, a nice re staurant.
TheForkUserThe staff were very friendly and helpful if a bit unsure, but the food was disappointing to say the least. The club sandwich was unpleasant - stone cold and contained inedible and rather revolting slimy chicken slices which may well have come from a catering pack. At these prices, really? The gambas linguine was ok but served lukewarm. Our first plates arrived after about 40 minutes which is way too long. We had to prompt to get a wine list. Wine list is great by the way but food and service do not match it sorry to say.. Lastly we had to negotiate with several staff to be allowed to take dessert and coffee in the bar which was next door along the corridor (the coffee never arrived) . Again, really? The restaurant room was hot and dark and surely you should be able to move tables in a large hotel without a fuss? Where was the manager? Although there were several staff around we had to carry our own water and glasses through to the bar . We were made to pay up before moving next door (3 metres away!) as though we might have made a run for it! - which kind of summed up the rather disconnected approach to service..
TheForkUserAn unexpected pleasure. After a week of dining at restaurants in the posh hill towns in the Luberon, we stopped here on the way back from visiting a friend at the beach in Cassis. The town is a real Provencal farm town, with a proud a spirit. And our dinner was excellent, served with enormous warmth by the proprietress. It was great fun to get away from other vacationers like ourselves!
_TI***cpWe had a wonderful lunch on the beautiful terrace, enjoying quality cuisine and professional service. The value for money is excellent, making it a great choice for any meal.
