Been coming here for years. The chilaquiles are always solid, big portion too - I never manage to finish the whole plate. Tried the plantain dough balls this time, different but good.

First time here with friends. The garlic chilli chicken, asked for extra spice, was spot on. Really fresh and packed with flavour. Service was nice and personal, didn't feel rushed at all.

Use Toby Cavery quite regularly. We find it reasonably priced, the food is always good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend this restaurant, but make sure you book as it gets really busy.

Been coming here for years. It's a proper old-school curry house, no frills. The lamb rogan josh is packed with flavour. They've got a decent house red that actually works with the spices, which is a nice touch.

The lamb nihari was rich and tender, just the thing for a chilly evening. Paired it with a robust red from their surprisingly decent list. The garlic naan is a must for scooping it all up. A solid spot when you're craving that kind of comfort.

Food comes out steaming hot because they cook it fresh right at the counter. You can really taste that freshness. Portions are decent for what you pay, which I always appreciate. Makes for a solid, no-fuss lunch.

Staff very friendly from the moment we went into the bar area. Service great, very informative, just a lovely relaxed vibe. Restaurant staff all very friendly and attentive. Menu excellent, served in good time, tasty well presented. Will definitely recommend and we will go back again, soon. Good experience.

Been coming here for years, and it's the staff that keep me coming back. They remember my usual order, always have a quick chat. Makes it feel like a proper local, even on busy Friday nights. The darts board is a nice bonus, but honestly, it's the friendly faces that make it.

Been coming here for years, the hake is always spot on. That sauce they do with it is a bit different, really nice. Just wish they'd change up the sides sometimes, gets a bit samey.

Got a table without booking, staff were really nice about it. Quick and friendly service all through dinner.

Stumbled upon this spot on a girls' trip to York. The chicken naga had just the right kick, and the garlic naan was so good we ordered a second round. Perfect for sharing and catching up.

The lunch deal is a steal. Got the grilled chicken, portion was huge and the meat was juicy, cooked just right. For what you pay, the quality is seriously good.

Been here a few times now. The team remembered it was my mate's birthday and brought out a little dessert with a candle. Nice of them. Food's always solid, but it's the little things like that which make you want to come back.

The paratha was really good - flaky and chewy, just right with the curry. You can tell they put care into making it. A solid choice.

Been to many Indian spots. The curries here stand out - each has its own distinct flavour. Appreciate that you can adjust the spice level to your preference. Good variety on the menu.

Stumbled upon this spot near our hotel, no booking needed. The food really stood out - the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce had a nice depth of flavour. It's a bit on the pricier side, but you can taste the quality in the ingredients. Would definitely pop in again.

A lovely, cosy spot. The staff are genuinely friendly, which makes for a relaxed meal. The food has that proper home-cooked feel, though I'd suggest asking for the traditional preparation. The chairs were quite comfortable for a longer sit, which was nice.

The team here are just lovely, really made our girls' night feel special. Shout out to Safa for being so sweet and checking in on us - it's those little touches that make a place! The vibe was perfect for catching up.

Decent portions, and I was happy to see a good few veggie options. The mushroom risotto was solid, creamy and packed with flavour. Could've used a touch more seasoning for my taste, but a satisfying plate.

The food was lovely, but the pacing felt a bit off. We were just finishing one course when the next arrived. Still, the warm glow from the candles made it easy to relax into the evening.

The methi chicken was really good. The naan arrived cold, but they replaced it without any fuss. A solid meal overall.

The chicken tikka masala is always spot on. Really appreciate the comfortable booths, makes for a relaxed meal.

Took the kids here again. The dhaal was spot on, thick and flavourful. The kheer was lovely, not too sweet. Service was quick and friendly, which is a lifesaver with little ones. We’ll be back.

The lady at the front is so nice! Her smile makes picking up my chicken fried rice a little brighter.

Been a regular for years. Food's always fresh, tastes like the real deal. Love that you can watch them cook in the open kitchen. Just feels honest.

The mixed kebab was good, but the hummus really stood out. So creamy and aromatic, with a lovely depth of flavour from the tahini. Just a really nice, simple plate.

Cosy spot, good wine list. Staff were nice. But for the price, the portions felt a bit on the small side. I left still feeling a bit peckish, which was a shame.

The curry goat was so tender it fell off the bone. Exactly what I needed after a long day. Flavour was spot on, really hit the spot. Portion was decent too.
