The service was attentive without being overbearing, and they checked in just the right amount.

Stumbled in after a morning out. The hot, perfectly cooked food was a real treat. Those thick, non-greasy chips are a winner!

The Sunday roast is a highlight for me. The beef was tender, and I really appreciated the fresh, seasonal vegetables on the side. A lovely, simple meal.

The wine list here is impressive. I had a glass of their house red with the coq au vin, and it was a spot-on pairing. Really made the dish sing. A bit pricey on the drinks, but that’s expected. Solid spot for a relaxed evening.

Popped in for a late lunch and got the burnt ends pizza. The BBQ sauce is thick and smoky, just how I like it. The crust was a bit soft in the middle, but the flavour was spot on.

Came by on a quiet Sunday evening. The daiquiri was the star for me – you can actually choose your own flavour profile, which was a nice touch. Made it feel a bit more personal. Drinks came out quickly too.

The takeaway was spot on even on a busy Friday night. My friends and I grabbed the chicken katsu curry to share while we waited for our train - still piping hot and so tasty. Quick service too, no hanging around.

The slow-cooked lamb pizza special was the star. The meat was so tender it just fell apart. Salmon risotto was good, but the pizza stole the show. Service was spot-on, as always.

The sharing platter's a solid way to try their signatures. Good for a group. A bit salty in places.

The bottomless brunch was solid. Jazmin was a star, really knew her stuff with the cocktails and kept the refills coming right on time for the full two hours. Made the whole thing a breeze.

Loved the interior design here! The food was fantastic, and the staff were so kind. A great first impression of York.

Been coming here for years, and the momos are consistently spot on. Juicy filling, perfect wrapper. It's the one thing I always order, never disappoints. That's why I keep coming back.

Good portions, not just salad on the side. The veggie options are clearly marked which helps. A solid choice over the chains in the Town Centre.

A get together with a friend, lovely Sunday lunch. Pub very busy. We booked our table which I would recommend. Our waitress was great, very attentive. The manager looked stressed! When extra tables had to be sorted out. Food very nice, hot and plentiful. I’d recommend Toby’s but Sunday is incredibly busy not that made our meal any less pleasant. Well with a visit.

Staff were really friendly. Food came out fast after we ordered. Had the fish and chips, crispy batter and the chips were proper chunky. Good spot for a quick bite.

The team here were really nice. They didn't mind us taking photos at all and were happy to help when we asked about the menu. Made the whole thing feel relaxed.

The owner is always around checking on things, which is nice. Food was good, service was solid. For the price, I'd say it's decent value. Nothing mind-blowing, but you get a proper meal without breaking the bank.

Found this little spot just outside the centre. The Everest Taas was spot on, and the pickle tray really worked with it. They've got a decent local beer selection too, which paired nicely with the spices. Simple place, but the flavours are all there.

The scones were spot on, and the house sparkling wine was a nice touch with them. A solid choice for a relaxed afternoon.

The grilled pineapple with cinnamon was a nice way to end things. It's not something you see on a menu often. The warm spice and the caramelised fruit worked well together.

Came across this place in Barnsley. The charcoal-grilled meats were the highlight, that smoky flavour is the real deal. Portions were generous for the price, felt like a proper meal.

Stumbled upon this place by chance. The vibe is really nice, quiet and cosy. Had the pasta, it was simple but done well. Service was friendly, not rushed. Just what I needed after a long walk.

Tried a few starters, the samosas were spot on. The Punjabi lamb curry had that slow-cooked tenderness, really hit the spot. Peacock cider was a nice find, went well with the spice. Mango lassi was refreshing. Solid meal.

A real gem, this place. The beef tagliatelle was spot on, and the pumpkin-stuffed pasta in that creamy parsley sauce was something else. Just simple, honest food done really well. Bill for two courses felt fair, no complaints.

Nice spot, clean and plenty of seats. The free Turkish tea and delight they brought out was a nice surprise. The tea was strong and fragrant, just right after we sat down. A simple but thoughtful gesture.

Crispy duck and kung po prawns were good. Lemon chicken was a nice surprise, not too sweet.

Amazing service and such a lovely friendly waiter , food was fast and lovely , Only quark was the restaurant was chilly bar that 9/10 for me even went back the night after

Quick lunch stop. Sandwiches were fresh, pork pies had great pastry. Service was friendly, bill was fine. Got me in and out fast. 👍

Stopped by for lunch. The Singapore vermicelli was spot on, probably the best I've had in ages. Service was quick and friendly. Just a nice, easy meal.

Came for my Mum's birthday and they made it very special staff were really friendly and really enjoyed our afternoon tea
