A lovely beer garden, perfect for a sunny afternoon. The pub itself is a bit underrated, but the outdoor space is really nice.

Popped in for a late lunch. The steak and ale pie was massive, proper comfort food. Staff left us alone to chat for ages, which was nice. Curry was decent too. Just a chilled spot to unwind.

Fantastic food and great service. Highly recommend a visit. Can't believe how good it was. Can't fault them at all. Top marks all around.

Been coming here for years. The pizzas are always spot on - crispy crust, generous toppings, the works. That's what keeps me coming back. It's just consistently good.

The Sunday roast beef was spot on. Their wine list had a nice Rioja that matched the rich gravy perfectly.

Izzy was a great host, very friendly and attentive. Service was prompt, which is key for a business lunch. The location is convenient for meetings in the area.

First visit, pleasantly surprised. The 2-4-1 cocktail deal was a nice touch. Food took a while to come out, but the staff were really friendly about it. Good spot to watch the game with all the screens and booths.

The atmosphere at this pub is fantastic, with a warm welcome and friendly staff that make you feel right at home.

The function room's a decent size, has its own bar which is handy. Manager even jumped on the decks for a bit, kept the vibe going. Service was solid all night, no complaints there.

Monday to Wednesday's pie night is a treat. The venison pie stood out for me. The filling was rich and the meat was very tender. The pastry was light and flaky. A solid choice for a cozy weeknight meal.

Been coming here for years, and the live music is always spot on. Never too loud, just the right background for a proper catch-up. The Quattro Formaggi pizza is my usual order, and it's consistently good. A solid spot that hasn't changed for the better part of a decade.

Nice local. The vegan options are a real plus - had the jackfruit burger last night and it was spot on. Staff are always friendly, quiz night's a laugh. Food's generally reliable, just wish the portions were a bit bigger for the price.

Nice spot by the canal for a sunny pint. The beer garden is a real draw. They had a decent selection of local ales on tap – went for a pale ale that paired well with the ploughman's lunch. A bit pricey for a pub, but you're paying for the location.

Jacek's gin tasting was a highlight. Two hours flew by with his stories and tips. The paired small plates were a nice touch, really complemented the spirits. Solid way to spend an evening.

The pool table and Mario Kart were a blast, really kept the party vibe going. Food was decent, but the noise level made it tough to chat over dinner. Still, a fun spot if you're after games with your mates.

Lovely Sunday roast in the beer garden. Staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is spot on. Just roasts on Sundays, but they do it well.

The handwritten note for our anniversary was a lovely touch. They were also super patient when we asked to hold off on the mains. Little details like that really stood out.

The private room upstairs was brilliant for our big group of 25. The staff were so helpful moving tables around for us. It was a really fun spot for a birthday dinner with all my friends!

Found a quiet spot upstairs on a busy day. The service was friendly and efficient, which was a nice surprise.

The octopus was really good, probably the best I've tried. Ovidi was a friendly and attentive server. The place gets quite loud later on, but it's a decent spot for a meal.

Nice pub with a big beer garden. Had a couple of their cocktail deals, which were decent. Watched the match on the big screen, good atmosphere for that. A solid spot for a pint and the game.

The staff were so nice! They even got us some chips from the kitchen even though it wasn't on the menu. Made our catch-up feel really easy.

The fish and chips special was really tasty and a good deal. The hake was nicely cooked too. What stood out was how comfortable the booths were – you could settle in and not feel rushed at all. A nice, relaxed spot.

The food was hot when it arrived, which I always appreciate. The fish and chips were well-prepared, the batter was crispy and the fish inside was flaky. Portions are decent for the price, especially with the set menu.

I often used the Fox as a staging post between Essex and Hampshire. Now I live in Cambridgeshire, it was a perfect stop on the way to Heathrow! We were a party of four; the atmosphere is still as lovely ; the food exceptional; the service warm and attentive. Each member of my family party enjoyed it greatly, sending my street cred soaring for my knowledge of good places to dine!It is a lovely place which I am greatly pleased to know!

Loved the roof terrace! Perfect for a sunny afternoon. The vibe up there is so relaxed, and they have a decent range of non-alcoholic drinks which was great for me. A really nice spot to just hang out.

Staff were so kind to squeeze us in on a busy Sunday. The roast was a proper hearty portion for the price. But the best bit was the whole vibe - the lighting was just right, not too bright, and the wooden tables felt really solid. Made for a relaxed, cosy lunch.

The beer garden is a lovely, quiet spot for a summer drink. A nice change from the busier places around.

The new owners did a lovely job with the woodwork inside. It’s cozy and feels warm, like a proper local spot now. Just a nice place to be.
