We have used this carvery many times and the service was good. I must say that the place nees a make over.  I wish to mention that Danielle was again working hard. She looks for work to be done and was doing it even in another  area. She def needs a mention

We had an early meal before the concert we were going to.  We had a small plate, brichetta, always very good and a tiramisu, to follow both excellent and  served very quickly,.  The waitress was very pleasant and efficient.

Service and quality of food excellent.  An experienced chef leading a team seemingly without effort.  No showy display just seriously good food tasting of its ingredients and perfectly balanced.

Great visit, went with a good friend and experienced a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Food was hot, refilled frequently and was varied. All interactions with Staff were positive. Really enjoyed the visit

The vegetarian sunday dinner and the beef sunday dinner were excellent.Bit disappointed there was no cauliflower cheese avaiable at 6.30 pm and the Ham&amp;cheese pie apparently lacked flavour. Portions were generous, desserts excellent and staff excellent. A few tweaks and the star rating would be higher.

The Forge offers an incredible dining experience with fantastic food and attentive service. The Rib Eye Steak was cooked to perfection, making it one of the best steaks I&#39;ve had in a long time!

Beautiful location inside a very spacious and antique building. The afternoon tea section has a number of low tables and comfortable seats. The service was amazing and the food was even better. Not the cheapest afternoon tea we&rsquo;ve had but it was all worth it for how much we all enjoyed it.

Lovely restaurant, great choice of drinks and chef couldn&#39;t be more helpful. Food was very good quality. Really enjoyed it! Just a little further out but only 5mins walk.

Been to several places recently for lunch,non have been particularly good ,had a carvery last week in  Ellesmere Port. I don&#39;t know how they had the nerve to serve it. I had been to the Toby Inn many years ago,and it was always excellent,so suggested we try it this week . It was absolutely marvellous. Could not fault it at all. We will be back next week for certain.Would definitely recommend  to anyone.Excellent food,good service, sensibly priced.

A wonderful pub restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and the staff were very sincere and helpful. It was definitely service with smiles. The food was excellent and hot! The sirloin steak was cooked as requested and is certainly recommended. The real ale was well kept and tasted superb. We will be back.

Any time my family are at Cheshire oaks, Ed&#39;s gets a visit, it&#39;s simple , does what it says on the tin.

This is not the 1st time we have visited, every time is similar. Really good value, service and food. The manager (Sue) is always welcoming and goes out of her way to make us welcome.

was very tasty food , good service. we went to this place to celebrate my husband&#39;s birthday, and they gave us free starter and a gift before we left. the prices are great for such a quality food. we were very satisfied with everything 😌

Great food and service! The pub has a fantastic selection of drinks, and the atmosphere is always friendly. Perfect spot for a casual night out.

Was pleasantly surprised, after reading the reviews I wasn&rsquo;t expecting it to be a good experience, but it was. The food came in good time, was very hot, fresh and tasted lovely. Cocktails were really good too, the dessert (sticky toffee pudding served with banana, vanilla ice cream and a sticky sauce) was amazing. Staff were very polite and professional, not sure what all the bad reviews are about, unless we were just very lucky. Only down side was the restaurant itself, could have done with being livened up a bit. On the whole really impressed.
