Château De La Bûcherie

Our stay was truly an enchanting, magical experience in the French countryside. This elegant chateau exceeded all expectations from the unique, high-end restaurant, the delightful, attentive staff and the incredibly beautiful setting. We enjoyed long walks in the woods, rowing on the pond, and an impromptu private tour of the gardens with Betty. We are looking forward to going back soon. We highly recommend it!

What a delightful hotel. The hotel is situated in extensive rural grounds that are easy to walk around and use. The hotel vegetable garden and green house was a delight to see and to know it ends up on the restaurant plates is even better. The main function rooms of the hotel are classic, beautiful and restful and we used them each day to take a complimentary tea or coffee either mid-morning or at the end of the day. You really feel like you are in a friends country home rather that a hotel and the owners were around most days to chat to. Yes, I'd love to come back. The only downside was the Tuesday evening meal on arrival - the restaurant was closed that evening and so an alternate meal was prepared, but it really was very poor and insubstantial - I'd recommend finding somewhere else if the main restaurant is shut (as it is Monday and Tuesday).

A wonderful stay for our family for 2 weeks in the French Countryside. Betty runs a wonderful hotel, with a fantastic staff and a spectacular restaurant! Great food in a stunning space, with so many natural ingredients grown on property or in the area. The Castle is old school, historic, rustic, but lovely. The grounds are stunning and special. Nathan was a brilliant manager and breakfast there is fabulous and a piece of artistry. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

10/10 experience Amazing stay at a wonderful venue. The wonderful staff made us feel like home from the moment of checking in. The castle and its surroundings are beautiful and it was a perfect start of our vaccination where we really got to slow down and just enjoy life. We travelled with our 3 year old, and he enjoyed as much as his parents, thank you to the staff who made his and our stay so special. We enjoyed the Michelin worthy restaurant all 3 nights and can’t recommend it enough. This is a place for relaxation, enjoying nature, good food and wines. Will definitely come back.

A quick night in a castle Very nice hotel in a very quiet and beautifully landscaped area. The staff is super nice, the decor makes you feel like in a castle, from the room decoration to the lobby and the yard. I did a walk around the castle and they also have a garden, growing their own food. I wish I had a breakfast or dinner in here but I was there only for a few hours of sleep. Thanks for the welcome.
