Blau Hotel Las Caldas, a member of Radisson Individuals

We came here to see the eclipse and booked this hotel without knowing much about it. It's a short 15 minute drive from Oviedo and we're so glad we stayed here rather than in Oviedo, b/c it was so gorgeous. It's in a tiny little town, and the hotel is a huge complex with interesting mix of old and new architecture. It has a gorgeous grounds that are very large, with gorgeous views of the mountains. The breakfast was delicious with asturian cheese. We were touched by all the effort the hotel made for the eclipse, which we weren't expecting at all. They had set up cushions, with a cash bar and even a DJ! It made the eclipse such a great experience, even though it was cloudy so we didn't actually see the sun. The spa area was ginormous, with indoor and outdoor components, and an especially large hydropool area. There's free parking in the back in a small lot, which we were able to find parking in, and 12 euros a night for underground parking if the lot is full. The restuarant in the hotel were delicious. There was a problem with my room but they made every effort to address it

Booked this hotel for its location half way to Santander and it had a pool which was open and also rooms with a terrace. Couldn’t use the terrace until 9pm as no shade provided

I travelled here on business for a conference. The conference room itself was great as it had access to a terrace for breaks and windows. The room I had was very basic and very old fashioned - there was no bath, no mini bar, the drinking water was not replaced at all during the stay. There was only a pod coffee machine (no kettle) The pool / spa was reportedly very good though I didn't have time to experience it, and the gardens were nice. It was a shame there weren't any restaurants in walking distance

This property is overpriced. For over $200 a night, I would expect a room that does not smell of urine and for my mini fridge to work. I called the front desk several times asking for the mini fridge to be repaired to no avail. Some of the staff (the waiter at the Bar) were very pleasant and others (woman at the front desk when I checked in) were not pleasant. The pool area was nice; yet it should be clearly stated that to enjoy the facilities, you must wear a swimming cap which is available for an additional fee. My son (who has sensory issues) was thrown off by the need for the cap and refused to go into the pool. I also found it strange that you needed a reservation to use the pool area.

We had a great stay at the hotel and the staff and manager could not have been more helpful to our supercar tour group. The food was excellent for our final group dinner of the tour which was held in the beautiful dining room, and all our guests felt the rooms all very comfortable. The parking garage under the hotel is a bit steep but most of our cars went in ok you just need to take your time and the couple we were worried about were kindly allowed to stay in front of the hotel by the excellent manager. Great food and hospitality, the staff was very helpful. Great selection of wines, and perfect breakfast. Lots of sports activities, nearby a very interesting golf course. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Excellent and well designed hotel and rooms. The quiet location and the relaxing are worth a visit. Staff very friendly, excellent connection by bus to Oviedo. Breakfast outstanding. We enjoyed the very much the dinner(goat) in the hotel restaurant
