Trolltunga Camping

Great camping, perfectly located! As we we visited outside of the high season (end of sep) the camping was unmanned but it didn’t matter ..everything was fully functioning and we got full attention by email and phone when needed. Which was needed as serious storm warning was declared and the staff contacted us to inform and also was so kind to upgrade us from tent spot to a room! Overall a great experience and service! We will be back again as Odda has so much to offer!

The tent pitch that we booked was right next to a beautiful lake with surrounding mountains. The staff was kind enough to upgrade us to a cabin room for free because of a chance of strong winds that night. We really appreciated their generosity and even got to meet a staff member who came to check on us later that evening (even though they had limited operating hours). The cabin room was cozy and clean. We can definitely recommend this camping spot in Odda!

I stayed in a cabin and it was perfect. Everything I needed for a few days in the area hiking and exploring. The little creek running behind the cabin was lovely to fall asleep to. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Awesome also to have a swimming beach in the lake at the edge of the camp ground. Locations was excellent, Trolltunga bus stop right outside and only a 20min walk into the centre of Odda.

Checking in was easy and location was ideal for access to access to many trails. The accommodations were very roomy and comfortable with eat in kitchens to prepare your own meals. Great value for the money.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Nico and Shakti. They helped me out so much during a little energy crisis I got into. Also, the two guys who worked yesterday evening were really kind. The staff absolutely deserve a 5-Star rating. Their boss can be very happy to have such great employees! Although the campsite is located in a beautiful setting, the prices are totally insane. €145 for a tiny cabin with two and a half beds that doesn’t even have a chair or a bedside table, and located right in front of the main cooking and dining area of the whole campsite? And then charging extra for a 5-minute shower that was very dirty? That’s not acceptable. I really hope the amazing staff are paid accordingly!
