I originally booked a 4D3N stay at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur for a business trip, but I ended up extending my stay by an additional night (direct book through hotel as a member of World of Hyatt). That alone probably says a lot about how much I enjoyed my experience here.
One of the first things that impressed me was the lobby, located on the 39th floor, just above Thirty8 Restaurant. The panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur upon arrival is simply stunning and creates a memorable first impression.
My room overlooked Impiana Hotel rather than the Petronas Twin Towers, but I was perfectly happy with it. The room was spacious, and I especially loved the huge window with a comfortable sofa beside it. I spent quite a bit of time simply watching the sky change colours at sunset and observing the city below.
The room layout was thoughtfully designed, with a separate shower and bathtub area from the toilet, as well as a wardrobe section that felt almost like a mini walk-in wardrobe. The Balmain toiletries were another nice touch.
The fitness facilities were excellent. The gym was well equipped, and I noticed the treadmills had been upgraded since my previous stay.
My favourite facilities, were the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. I also appreciated the thoughtful details such as electronic lockers and disposable underwear provided for guests using the wellness facilities. The changing rooms and bathrooms were equally comfortable.
Location is another major advantage. KLCC, Suria KLCC, KLCC Park and several public transport options are all within walking distance.
Breakfast at Thirty8 was a highlight. I intentionally arrived around 6.40am each morning to enjoy the sunrise view before the restaurant became busy.
The food selection was extensive, delicious and complemented perfectly by the incredible scenery.
Most importantly, the staff were outstanding. Everyone I encountered was warm and professional. Special thanks to Azroy at the gym, who took the time to explain the facilities and amenities during my first visit. His friendliness made a great impression.
Overall, this is a hotel I genuinely look forward to returning to.
