JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu

This stay at the JW Marriott Chengdu was fantastic, and I have to give a special shout-out to the Guest Relations team! The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Tianfu Square, and within walking distance to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. The room offered expansive views and excellent soundproofing. But what truly impressed me was the service. Ella proactively reached out before my arrival to discuss my needs and helped plan a super practical sightseeing itinerary and local food guide. Fay meticulously followed up on all the check-in details, responding incredibly quickly to adjust the blackout curtains and send extra amenities – they were delivered almost as soon as I sent the message. Celine warmly introduced nearby attractions and even brought welcome fruits and local specialty teas; these small touches were truly heartwarming. These three ladies were all so gentle and professional, making me feel at ease in an unfamiliar city. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu, highly recommended!

After all, it's a hotel that's been operating for a long time. While it might not have the advantage of being a new hotel in terms of hardware, the standards are definitely there. What truly sets it apart is the thoughtful and gentle service, creating a strong sense of belonging. Who wouldn't appreciate a warm smile greeting them on a scorching summer day, instantly dissipating the heat and making them feel comfortable? Especially Xiao from the guest relations department, who communicated with us even before check-in, anticipating our needs and being incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Often, excellent service resonates more deeply than some hardware facilities, don't you think? 🤗 P.S. The Dan Dan noodles for breakfast are delicious!

The JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu boasts an excellent location and a fantastic breakfast spread. The rooms are well-appointed, clean, and tidy. But what truly impressed me was Ella – she was professional, genuine, and incredibly warm. She was always available from check-in to check-out, and whenever I needed assistance, her response was prompt. This level of service deserves more than just five stars!

There's a good reason why this hotel is my top choice every time I travel; it's the first time I've genuinely wanted to write a positive review. I initially chose it for its convenient location. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's incredibly well-maintained. However, what keeps me coming back repeatedly is the exceptional warmth of the staff. The housekeeping aunties and the lounge staff are all so welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. They've even started recognizing me! The overall service strikes the perfect balance – friendly without being intrusive. It's especially relaxing to unwind in the lounge on a rainy day, enjoying afternoon tea. The mini-bar in the room is complimentary, and the turndown service feels so special with its chocolates. The breakfast offers many Sichuan specialties, and even though it's a buffet, the lounge staff, in their little red hats, will make you a beautiful latte with latte art – truly thoughtful. This hotel is perfect for both a leisurely getaway and a business trip. The experience is absolutely top-notch. Highly recommended!

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Chengdu's First Ring Road. It's within walking distance of attractions like the Science and Technology Museum, Sichuan Museum, Tianfu Hong, and Tianfu Square. The Metro Line 1 entrance is about 400 meters away, making it a prime choice for getting around the city. The lobby and breakfast area are on the 8th floor. There's robot dining service, but it's quite slow. [Room] I stayed in an executive room on the 29th floor for two nights. It was very quiet, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a great view. While the facilities of this established hotel are a bit older, the service is outstanding. The butler was very kind and promptly made up the sofa bed. They also proactively provided toiletries for children. The mini-bar had a decent selection of drinks, and turndown service was available. [Dining] The food in the executive lounge was fresh and sufficient, though not particularly extensive. Breakfast was excellent, especially the noodle station, which I highly recommend. Both the Dandan noodles and beef noodles were delicious, and there was a wide variety of drinks and yogurts.

My overall experience at this Marriott was absolutely wonderful. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the peaceful environment completely melted away my travel fatigue. What truly impressed me were the hotel staff. The front desk receptionists were professional and friendly, handling the check-in process smoothly. The housekeeping staff were meticulous and attentive, and I'd especially like to thank Harriet for her humble and considerate demeanor; her thoughtfulness was evident in every detail. With excellent facilities combined with warm and thoughtful service, this hotel offers incredible value for money. It was an outstanding stay, definitely worth revisiting!

Traveling to Chengdu with my family and choosing the Chengdu JW Marriott was absolutely the right decision! The room was spacious, easily accommodating several people without feeling cramped, and spotlessly clean. The location is unbeatable, within walking distance of Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Ella from Guest Relations was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic throughout our stay, even giving a panda toy to our child and providing kids' toiletries. She thoughtfully attended to all our family's travel needs, and her attentive service significantly elevated our trip's happiness. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Chengdu!

This was my first stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu, and overall, it was an excellent experience. The hotel's location is very convenient, with a subway station nearby, making it easy to get to Chunxi Road and Kuanzhai Alley. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the cleanliness was impeccable. A special thanks to the guest relations team, Fay, Celine, and Ella, for their patient attention to our needs throughout our stay. Their meticulous and thoughtful service made our Chengdu trip even more perfect. Highly recommended!

The room was very comfortable, and the toiletries were good. I particularly liked the bedding and pillows, especially the pillows. The butler service was also very attentive, and all the services, including those in the lobby and on the floors, were excellent. The only minor drawback is that you have to switch elevators, which is a bit inconvenient for someone like me who's bad with directions, but it's manageable. It's very convenient, with many great restaurants right outside.
