The Inn at Montpelier

No anonymous decor here. Each room in this converted old home was uniquely furnished with period furniture and comfortable, though our room could use a good deep cleaning. Breakfast was very good and it was an easy walk to everything in town.

The front porch was not usable. It was lovely and would have been a great gathering place. Parking was easy.

room was clean and the area surrounding was cute! just a little off putting that they don’t lock the front door at night. Although I understand your bedroom doors lock, there is still a concern for the lobby area. Breakfast was ok, decided to go into town instead. Would visit again though :)

Beware: charmless interiors, the saddest "continental breakfast" I've ever seen, and a front desk person who was astonishingly incompetent. Vermont has many lovely inns and b&bs; this is not one of them. Bummer.

Unfortunately the room was not in good shape. The room needs a 100% renovation including furniture.

The first impression was great and that was my check in. I arrived at 1:30 am in the morning and my room keys were ready for me to access my room. Then my room was very clean and nicely made. The staff here are very nice and helpful.

There are two different steps in the room- 1” to the bathroom, 4” from entry into bedroom. There should be a warning ***** or color rug change to avoid tripping

All went well. Parking was a bit of an issue but was resolved with a phone call!

The place is really nice and gives you the old times feels. The heating system in the second building definitely needs to ge fixed tho, ran at 80 degrees all day and shut off at night, no way to change it per room either. They did say they were gunna get it fixed though. Staff was great and very helpful.
