HUIYUE HOTEL

The room was well-ventilated and comfortable. The hygiene was excellent and the service attitude was very good. The view was also nice. The hotel reception staff were attentive and well-organized. The hotel's breakfast felt very homey and was abundant with delicious local specialties.

The hotel's location is great, and underground parking is really convenient. The family rooms were fully booked when I made the reservation, so I had to book two twin rooms. When we arrived, the front desk saw we had kids and upgraded us to a family room – that was fantastic! The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. The hotel's surroundings are nice, with Wanda Plaza and Walmart supermarket just across the street. The rice noodles at breakfast were especially delicious, and the late check-out until 3 PM was a huge plus.

The hotel's location is decent, not far from Wanda Plaza. It's right by the road, so it's not quiet. Service was mediocre, and breakfast was nothing special. The front desk service was particularly unhelpful, pretty much nonexistent. I originally planned to stay for four days, but I quickly decided to switch hotels!

The facilities were decent, but the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. Smoking wasn't prohibited in the indoor public areas, and the ashtrays in the hallways were overflowing with cigarette butts. Even the self-service laundry room had people smoking. This is terrible for a five-star hotel.

1. When checking in, it's advisable to say "Please leave your contact information" instead of just asking for a phone number. Polite language isn't necessary, but basic courtesy is essential. 2. The Ctrip system showed a free room upgrade was available, but I don't know why I didn't receive one. I can't comment on other aspects as I haven't experienced them.

I don't understand why this hotel has such a high rating. Since it was my first time staying here, I only booked two nights. I didn't experience any particular discomfort on the first night, so I decided to extend my stay in the same room for another night. However, I found out on Ctrip that the room type was sold out. The next morning, I went to the front desk to inquire, and I also said that I wanted to stay for the third night. After checking, the front desk said that the room type I wanted was currently unavailable, but they would keep an eye out for me. I thought I would wait for the front desk to let me know, and if it didn't work out, I would just change the room type and move my luggage a little. Unexpectedly, when I returned to the hotel that evening, I checked on Ctrip and found that all the hotel rooms were sold out. I called the front desk again, and they confirmed that it was true. They asked if it was so difficult to notify me in advance to book a different room type. Just as I was feeling frustrated, my mother came out of the bathroom and told me that there was a problem with the tap water. When I went over, the tap water I was using was all milky white. I called the front desk, and they only sent a housekeeper to take a look. She explained that it was a problem with the water treatment plant, not the hotel, and then left. Speechless. Now I'm not staying at the hotel even though I have a room. The first thing I did this morning was to turn on the tap again, and it was still milky white. Then at noon I moved to a hotel across the street from this hotel, only 50 meters away. The first thing I did when I entered the room was to turn on the tap, and it was completely clear. Is this because the water treatment plant treats different things differently?

The front desk staff are efficient and provide exceptionally warm and welcoming service. Even the cleaning staff are remarkably professional. They were very polite when asked for two bottles of water. Their breakfast is also delicious and plentiful. And the cleanliness is impeccable – spotless and tidy. Entering the restaurant makes you feel right at home.
