Horseshoe Lake Charles - A Caesars Rewards Destination

Place was terrible. Check in was strange, I got charged a load more money and was told it would be returned? The pool was closed, the gym equipment broke and the room smelt. We had to change room as they forgot we booked two singles. The whole process was a nightmare. Couldn’t wait to leave!

Was all good as I expected really no complaints other than I didn’t win anything. I’m not a gambler but I had to try right. Stayed there on business and would have preferred more food choices in house as we preferred not to have to go out. Will stay there in the future.

Disappointing. Check-in for one of 2 rooms, not directly side-by-side as requested, was delayed due to housekeeping not indicating it was ready. Dust on shelving, hair on floor and desk lamp didn't work. Coffee pot missing pod tray, 2 countertops not cleaned, and missing Do Not Disturb tag. Only 1 hanger and no iron provided. Otherwise was fine.

The staff and manger were unprofessional. The air conditioner in the room was so loud we couldn't sleep. No hair dryer was provided i had to call and get one. The room was nice but didnt make up for the rude staff. Terrible experience.

I will never stay at this hotel again. Let me list the issues—the air conditioner made a loud popping noise every time it cycled off!! Woke me up repeatedly. The pool was closed indefinitely since they can’t get the chemicals right. I called for a hairdryer as there wasn’t one and was told they would send one up—after 1 1/2 hours I called back and said never mind. The lighted mirror didn’t work in the bathroom. We used the gym but the fridge for water was of course empty—also no exercise mats were available. Lastly, and the least of everything was the water side view was obstructed by the extremely dirty windows. The staff were friendly but overworked and understaffed. It’s like the shell of the hotel was great but all the working parts were missing. Even in the elevator people were talking about how bad the hotel was. Sadly, I had to agree with them. Thankfully we were only here for one night.

I encountered a challenge locating the front desk upon my arrival. The self-service kiosk did not recognize my reservation, which was made through **********, and no staff members were immediately available to assist.

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and it will be our last. We were not able to get into a room until 10pm due to it not being cleaned. Our room was downgraded without any compensation. Staff were rude and not accommodating at all. n.

Nice room - large & clean. Comfy bed. Best pillows ever. Wonderful shower. Quiet.

Room was excellent, clean and up to date. Great size bathroom, rain shower, lovely view of the water. Didn't have housekeeping but got supplies from them every day. PS Dates are wrong Jan 11-14
