Horseshoe Lake Charles - A Caesars Rewards Destination

Place was terrible. Check in was strange, I got charged a load more money and was told it would be returned? The pool was closed, the gym equipment broke and the room smelt. We had to change room as they forgot we booked two singles. The whole process was a nightmare. Couldn’t wait to leave!

Was all good as I expected really no complaints other than I didn’t win anything. I’m not a gambler but I had to try right. Stayed there on business and would have preferred more food choices in house as we preferred not to have to go out. Will stay there in the future.

Clean room. Helpful staff. We came in last minute after a terrible experience at a nearby hotel. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Such a great stay!

From the outside looks like an absolute gorgeous hotel. Inside and reeks of cigarette smoke and steel beer. Not very busy the time that we were there but there was an extreme lack of staff to help at all. Plus, the staff is extremely rude.

The room was very clean, and the staff was outstanding. I only stayed to sleep so I couldn’t take advantage of the amenities. I would definitely stay again.

I always enjoy the Horseshoe for its convenience to I-10 in lake Charles. Been stopping since it was new. Hasn’t been long but already maintenance should be on top of carpets separating in hallways, bathroom ceilings peeling from moisture in the showers. Housekeeping should pay attention to mildew in showers and the debris in corners and under the edges of beds. Staff would do well to greet guests with a smile, and not fraternize in front of guests. Wish there were healthy eating establishments there, or in the neighborhood. These are minor. You will still enjoy your stay. But, come on management! If I wanted a cheap motel experience I would go there and I hope the Horseshoe doesn’t become that.

Never had interaction with staff because of check-in and check-out kiosk. The room was nice and had plenty of room. The low rating was mainly because of the lack of adequate wi-fi. There was barely any service on 5G and if you logged on to the guest wi-fi, you barely got service. My husband was unable to complete necessary work from the room and had to go off site to use a hot spot to get it done which was very inconvenient! Also, the air didn’t seem to work properly and wasn’t cold. Cool but not cold like we like it when we sleep. Would I stay here again? Maybe depending on cost and not needing wi-fi.

Everything about this place was wonderful, especially the staff - I couldn't say anything more awesome, they were so great!

The hot water did not get hot in the bathroom sink nor in the shower causing me to have to take a cold bath!
