Pullman Bangkok King Power

I booked a newly renovated room, but to my dismay, the bathroom door wouldn't close properly and the drain was broken, causing water to pool. They had to fix it at 1 AM. Also, I originally booked an omakase lunch for Sunday, but the hotel told me they only offered dinner. Then, on Saturday, they suddenly informed me that lunch was available after all. To top it off, the omakase meal itself was only 40 minutes long, with very few dishes and not much to see. Furthermore, I sent two emails to confirm my reservation before arriving, but never received a reply. I've also never seen a guest elevator being used for deliveries before. Overall, this was a really bad experience. 👎

Although the hotel is a bit older, it's very clean. The staff are all incredibly friendly and attentive, always smiling. The hotel environment is also excellent, and the pool is beautiful. The Japanese-style architecture in the atrium is quite unique. What really stood out this time was the package deal: two hours of unlimited cocktails, beer, wine, and snacks from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM daily at the poolside bar or The Junction. This was fantastic value, and the snacks were plentiful. Breakfast was also very extensive. The dining vouchers provided by the hotel were also a great deal. I highly recommend booking a package. My only complaint is that the Trip.com staff were very unprofessional and impatient during the booking process. After we bought the package, it was upgraded later, but Trip.com offered no help at all. We had to contact the hotel directly to upgrade our package.

The hotel's overall environment is quite good, with a gym and a pool. However, for the price, the room isn't very spacious. It has direct access to the King Power Duty Free shop, which is very convenient for shopping!

Service: Pretty mediocre, hard to believe this is a Pullman. I arrived at the hotel around 6 AM due to an early flight and asked if early check-in was possible. The front desk said the room was ready, but there would be a fee for early check-in, which I understood. I asked how much it would be, and the front desk wrote down 4500 Thai Baht, which was more than a night's stay. I found this ridiculous. My friend and I decided to store our luggage instead and forgo early check-in. The front desk gave us a luggage tag and said we could pick up our room key directly with it at 2 PM. Around 1 PM, we returned from sightseeing and asked the front desk if we could check in. They said the room wasn't ready and was still being cleaned, even though the morning front desk agent had stated the room was available. So we asked another front desk agent, who then, to our surprise, simply pulled our room key from a box next to the phone on the counter and said we could check in... Facilities: Very old and dated. I definitely won't choose this hotel again on my next trip to Bangkok. The toiletries in the shower were difficult to use; the dispensers were hard to press. The breakfast seemed to have a wide variety, but when it came down to finding something good to eat, there wasn't much appealing.

Facilities: A bit old, but the pool is great and opens as early as 6 AM. Breakfast is good, and the service is decent. Hygiene: Acceptable. Ambiance: Excellent. Service: The front desk's Chinese language proficiency is just average. The nearby King Power Duty-Free shop isn't worth visiting.

Our room package included an amazing array of benefits: 2 hours of complimentary cocktails, beer, and wine, along with snacks, served daily from 5 PM to 7 PM at either the pool bar or The Junction. We also received a 20% discount on a single item at King Power Duty Free and two tickets to the King Power Mahanakhon SkyWalk. We typically got back to the hotel quite late after our excursions, so we ended up buying our own drinks most nights and only managed to visit the SkyWalk. If you go around 5 or 6 PM on a clear day, the views are absolutely stunning – we went during the day and loved it! The hotel's location is super convenient, with easy access to the MRT and taxis readily available right outside. There are also a couple of 7-Elevens nearby and plenty of massage places and restaurants. The breakfast spread was fantastic, but the absolute highlight was the gentleman at the front desk. He spoke Chinese, was incredibly gentle, and had such a pleasant voice – truly exceptional!
