For our 4-day Budapest trip between May 22nd and May 26th, 2026, we chose the Aquaworld Resort Hotel after extensive research. As a family with children, we wanted our children to have fun even outside of sightseeing. Therefore, we experienced how right our decision was during our stay.
The hotel is located a little outside the city center, but thanks to Budapest's developed public transportation network, we had no problems with transportation. The BKK app is very useful; it even shows you the walkways, stairs, and corridors when you want to reach your destination. Accommodation choice depends entirely on expectations. In the city center, hotels that generally only offer room service can be preferred. However, if you think you will get tired from sightseeing all day, a more comfortable facility with amenities such as a spa, pool, and Turkish bath can be much more advantageous. Moreover, thanks to the half-board concept, the price remains at a similar level to many hotels that only offer room-only or bed and breakfast service. The hotel rooms were very clean, and the staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast and dinner were generally good. However, the pool and aquapark area raises expectations so high that even a minor hiccup can easily be overlooked.
The interconnected heated pools, thermal pools, special areas for children, and all-day activities offer wonderful opportunities for both children and adults to unwind after a long day.
