This hotel is great value for money in terms of all you can eat and the price. The hotel does feel too overcrowded there are so many sun beds on the beach that it takes away from the beach. The hotel did not warn about seaweed before arrival and it was very 50/50 in terms of staff friendliness

Best all inkl. experience! Super tasty food, El Patio restaurant was our favorite. All staff is super friendly and attentive, we were in good hands and had the best vacation!

We stayed at Secrets Akumal Cancun for four nights over New Year’s. Overall, the hotel is good, and most of the staff make an effort to provide good service. The Preferred Club Lounge was a highlight. Diego was excellent at reception, and Angel was always attentive. Our second concierge, Metz, made a real difference after we upgraded our suite. Although it took a little time for her to contact us, once she did, her service was exceptional and truly elevated our stay. Unfortunately, our first concierge, Monica, was not helpful. The most disappointing moment was at the beach, where there were no loungers available, and the staff member on duty made no effort to help or find a solution. This was very frustrating for a luxury resort. Another issue was the restaurant closing time (10:30 p.m.). We arrived at 10:00 p.m., and while still eating, all remaining dishes and desserts were brought at once because the kitchen was closing, which felt rushed and unpleasant during a vacation. In summary, Secrets Akumal is a good hotel with some excellent staff, but service consistency needs improvement to fully meet luxury expectations.

Wonderful resort, excellent food, and plenty of activities to enjoy. Highly recommended the Chef’s Table (thanks to Omar and Roberto). Beautiful beach and sea for the snorkeling.

The service was truly amazing.the grounds are lush and beautifully maintained.fantastic pool area. Great live music. Food was delicious with so many option to choose from. We lived our stay here.

The staff was amazing, the food was amazing, the activities on the resort were entertaining and fun, the resort was stunning and so well kept. We loved everybody we came in contact with, with special shout outs to Antonio, Mauricio and Francisco our concierge. Would highly recommend!

The resort was great, room was fantastic. Caution about the $200 resort credit.The ******* listing is deceiving. There are limitations such as $10 off a full price wine bottle, $40 off regular priced spa service. Great buffet at the Market Cafe. Nice sit down places near the pool with ocean views (Seaside Grill and Oceana). Fine dining choices in the evening include Himitsu (Japanese), Bordeaux (French)(long wait at times), Portofino (Italian) and El Patio (Mexican). All of the restaurants were fantastic & no resy needed. (Hibachi at Himitsu needs a resy due to limited seating). There are plenty of events during the day that are free. We decided to just hang out at the pool most of the time. The concierges are at every building, and communicate through WhatsApp if you need anything. The staff does go out of their way to make sure that you are taken care of. The reason I did not rate it 5 is because I did not sleep well at night due 2 the bed & pillows. It was just not comfortable for me. I still prefer the beds and pillows at a JW Marriott. The resort grounds are immaculate! Pools are sparkling clean. Beaches are pristine, smooth white sand that feels like flour on your feet. They have exercise classes, free paddle boarding & kayaking outings and bike ride through the local town. If U take the Wyndham "timeshare" pres, it's about 2hours for $200 credit towards your hotel bill. The survey lady was rude. Just keep saying No until they give you all the bells/whistles.
