Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives

Seven nights at Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives simply wasn’t enough. This was our third time visiting the Maldives, and without hesitation, this island resort stands out as something truly exceptional. From arrival to departure, the level of service was next-level. Every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome, cared for, and relaxed, the kind of hospitality that stays with you long after you leave. We had the overwater pool villa, and it was stunning, modern and fully furnished with everything you need. A very special mention to our host Hassa, who made the entire experience feel effortless and incredibly personal from start to finish. Such a personable, friendly guy who is always willing to help anytime when we needed him, we have stayed at two other resorts in Maldives, and our other hosts didn’t compare to Hassa. Shaff also deserves huge thanks for keeping our room immaculate each day, always with a smile, and for the fun and imaginative towel creations that became a daily highlight. The crocodile was awesome because we told him we were from Australia 🙏 The spa massages and experience was outstanding, the dining exceeded expectations, and breakfast was unforgettable, especially the freshly cooked eggs from Shakief, easily the best we’ve had anywhere. Adam was also super friendly and chatty. Sunset drinks at Sunset Social and The Club quickly became part of our routine and were the perfect way to start our evening. The room itself was beautiful, and the attention to detail across the entire resort was remarkable. No words really do this place justice. A perfect 1000/10 experience in every way. We had a wonderful stay at Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives. From the moment we reached Maldives airport, we were met with top notch hospitality by the resort staff. Every service staff on the resort were warm and sincere to us, and tried their very best to make sure we were comfortable during our stay here. A special shoutout to Hassa, our assigned concierge. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel completely taken care of. Every request we made was handled promptly and seamlessly. He truly went above and beyond to ensure an exceptional experience. Javed was our house keeper and he left us small surprises everyday from the cute crab shaped folded towel to coming back to the room with a hot bath already prepared for us. We actually look forward to return to our room to find new surprises! As this is a newly opened resort, the amenities are still new and in great condition. Definitely will recommend anyone to stay here for a great time.

Best trip and service. Everyone went beyond from the chef making a special native dish for us to our concierge arranging all our reservations and upgrading our villa view. A beautiful floating breakfast in our overwater villa and arranging a very late checkout for us due to our late flight. This was a trip of a lifetime with exceptional service! Even had dolphins swimming in front of our villa with beautiful sunsets. ❤️❤️❤️

Overall, we had an amazing experience, which was mostly due to the exceptional service we received. This first started with our butler, Morky, who was always attentive from day one and gladly helped us with all of our needs. We would also like to acknowledge the excellent service provided by the following people: - Theekshana from Coco Drift, who always served us with a smile and went the extra mile - Chef Shuhaam from The Gallery, who always greeted us every morning at breakfast and made sure we were taken care of - Aladdin and Sree from Sunset Social, who always remembered what we ordered and had our drinks ready right away (Sree even guided us back to our villa on our first night since we couldn't remember our way back!) - Shaff ensured that we had everything we needed in our villa and kept it neat and clean consistently - Dikshya from The Gallery gave us the most special send-off dinner on our last night and was so genuinely kind We would recommend this resort to everyone just because of this fantastic service!

Very good stay experience and staff are all friendly especially Nutcha and Amyn, feel like at home. Thai restaurant is also a must here. Definitely be back again

Gorgeous Villa, Outstanding Staff – But Peace Undone by Large Tour Group We thoroughly enjoyed our overwater villa—modern, luxurious, and with direct ocean access. The staff were warm, attentive, and truly excellent. Dining was a standout: from intimate sandbank dinners to creative fusion menus, every experience felt thoughtful and refined. The first few days were blissfully peaceful. Housekeeping was excellent , especially Rilwan who took care of our needs. Unfortunately, that serenity was shattered by management’s decision to allow a large group of around 30 guests. Loud shouting, and a party-like atmosphere overwhelmed the shared spaces, transforming the resort from a calm luxury retreat into a noisy group-tour environment. Staff made sincere efforts to manage the disruption. .To their credit, the team went out of their way to acknowledge the inconvenience, surprising us with champagne, sweets, and fresh fruit in our villa—a lovely and much-appreciated gesture. That said, management decision allowing such large group bookings contradicts the resort’s core promise of calm and serenity. At this price point, guests rightfully expect tranquility and privacy—disruptions like this should not happen. Overall: Without the group, this would have been an easy 5-star experience.
