I really enjoyed our stay at KOKO HOTEL Kyoto Shijo Karasuma. We arrived very late for check in, and the staff were welcoming and helpful from the start. Our original ground floor room was nice, but there was a slight damp odor, so we asked if another room was available. They immediately moved us to a room on the second floor, which appeared to be a corner unit and gave us a little more space, including an extra sitting chair and table.
One feature I continue to love at the KOKO hotels is the heated toilet seat with built in wash functions. It may sound like a small thing, but after staying at both the Osaka and Kyoto locations, it is definitely winning me over.
Just like our stay in Osaka, the staff were also very helpful with forwarding our luggage to our next destination. They recommended that we sign up for the KOKO Hotel membership, which gave us a 12 noon checkout instead of 11 AM, along with other benefits.
The location was also excellent. We were within easy walking distance of convenience stores, shopping, restaurants and markets, which made exploring Kyoto very convenient.
Overall, this was another very positive KOKO Hotel experience for us. Friendly staff, comfortable room, great location and excellent service. I would happily stay here again.
