Overall, a great experience. I really wanted to stay in a *siheyuan* (quadrangle courtyard house), but many were either too expensive or the cheaper ones looked a bit shabby. This place hit the sweet spot in terms of price and quality. When I booked, I checked the map and thought it was far from the subway, but it's actually only a 2-minute walk to Xisi subway station. Getting to places like Yuanmingyuan and the train station was super convenient as they're direct subway lines. The *siheyuan* itself is small, but it's perfect for experiencing the traditional style. The breakfast spread was also modest, but it had all the essentials. The mattress firmness was just right. I'm not used to thick duvets, and the owner even provided a summer quilt. It wasn't until our second day that we discovered Zhengyang Bookstore nearby, which has a famous cat. We even went to pet the cat and take some photos! All in all, a really good stay!

The location is definitely a highlight – incredibly convenient! It's perfectly situated for exploring all the main attractions by subway and bus. Plus, it's really close to Beijing Railway Station, making it ideal for anyone visiting Beijing. Another great perk is the complimentary laundry and drying service. This was a lifesaver, especially after an unexpected downpour in Beijing. My clothes were washed and dried overnight, which was absolutely excellent.

The rooms are few, the courtyard isn't big, and the room itself is tiny. The courtyard view is nothing special, and the second-floor terrace doesn't offer any appealing scenery. The alley it's located in is also quite ordinary, and getting a car in or out is very difficult. It really just feels like a guesthouse in a hutong. There was only one staff member at the front desk who often seemed overwhelmed. I added them on WeChat beforehand, but their responses to my questions were unenthusiastic and lacked much useful information. It was clear they were new and inexperienced. The breakfast variety was sufficient, but a staff member was playing videos loudly on their phone right next to us, which was quite noisy. Unless you have a strong desire to experience a siheyuan or are particularly fond of hutongs, I'd recommend choosing a larger, properly managed hotel with more professional staff. One experience here was enough.

Great location, very close to the subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. The butler service was warm, proactive, and friendly. The facilities are excellent, and I slept very comfortably. This will definitely be my top choice for my next visit to Beijing. They also offer afternoon tea and travel photography. Oh, and Brick Pagoda Hutong is definitely worth exploring too!

Every stay here is a great experience. I highly recommend it and will definitely bring my family to stay again next time.
