Daeyoung Hotel Myeongdong

The lady at the reception was very kind and nice, which was great! They also provided pajamas and toothbrushes, which was a nice touch. The hairdryer's power was a bit weak, but the shower pressure was good! The bed was also clean.

The hotel has a great location, just a 3-minute walk from Hoehyeon Station exit. There's also a CU convenience store right at the alley entrance, which is super convenient! While the room was a bit small and the facilities weren't brand new, it's still excellent value for money at this price.

It's an older hotel, but they clean thoroughly every day, so I didn't feel it was dirty. However, twice during my three-night stay, around 11 PM, the hot water suddenly stopped while I was showering, which was inconvenient. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Overall, I had a comfortable stay. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around the area. The room was clean, and I didn't experience any major inconveniences during my stay. The staff were also polite, making this a hotel I'd feel safe using. Considering the price, location, and facilities, the satisfaction level is high, and it's a convenient hotel for sightseeing or short stays. If I have the opportunity to visit this area again, I would consider staying here.

I stayed for one night at the end of January. I dropped off my luggage before check-in, and the woman at the reception desk was very friendly and welcoming with a smile. The building isn't new, but the room was clean, and there were fresh flowers, giving the impression it's meticulously maintained. I rated the facilities 4 stars because the water pressure significantly decreases when you switch to hot water for the shower, but it's still perfectly adequate for a good wash. The ondol (underfloor heating) was also comfortable, not too hot, and just right overnight. Also, C-type plugs fit a bit loosely, so an SE-type adapter would be better. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and comfortable since my room was next to the reception. The hotel is conveniently located right by Exit 1 of Hoehyeon Station on Line 4, making it easy to get to Seoul Station and Dongdaemun. I would definitely like to stay here again.
