Capital Plaza Hotel

An older property, but they were in the middle of renovation. Aside from renovation inconveniences, we had no problems.

Property was under renovations- Our room was ok. Water pressure in the shower was poor. They were aware there were 3 in the room and we were using the sofa bed which was a tight squeeze and no room to get out of the bed. Plus there were no extra sheets or pillows until we asked. Plugs were all loose and phone cords would not stay on the walls. Other than that staff were al kind and breakfast was good. Might consider returning after renovations.

They were doing construction on the Hotel but they couldn’t have been nicer. We love how close it is to walk in to town and enjoy everything in Frankfort. Everyone in town were so friendly. Looking forward to going back.

Staff was friendly, breakfast was decent, and the room was quiet with a nice view. Hotel itself was old and tired looking. The room was covered in stains, lots of water stains on the ceiling, did not provide any soap in the bathroom.

The Capital Plaza Hotel was an excellent place to stay. The location to historic downtown Frankfort was perfect- it is just a short walk to the middle of the downtown with plenty to eat & drink. The hotel is across the street from a scenic trail if you want to take a stroll. They are renovating so it will be even better in the future. The parking garage is behind the hotel & open 24/7. The only thing that I might have an opinion about is the view. You have to be pretty high up to get a view of the river or the city so don't expect anything spectacular on that point.

The bar war closed. Parking was convient. Upon arrival there was hair on one of the beds. The furniture was dated and broken. The refrigerator was bent and wobbly unstable and not plugged in when we arrived. There were lose baseboards leaning up to the wall unattached. The desk had several visible scratches that were not pleasing to the eye. The rolling desk chair was stained. There was no manger on duty to address the concerns. I was highly disappointed after paying so much for this room. Please read the reviews before booking with this establishment.

The tub had lots of hair and dirt in the tub. the carpets are dirty and the dirty tub had me after to sleep on the sheets

in fairness, the place was being renovated. the room rate was overvalued for the room. room was likely worth $75 a night, not $113 plus tax. maybe it will be worth it when the renovations are done. not now.

Good hotel has potential, just due to construction . I gave 7 rated . Otherwise it’s very close to Dawntown.
