Me and my wife booked two nights in the Silky Oaks Lodge, Daintree forrest. We absolutely loved every second there. The location is stunning, great atmosphere, rooms are super clean and luxury. And it's so peaceful and quiet, just the way we like it. It's by far the best resort in Australia, if you ask us. The staff are so friendly, smiling and they have time for a chat during breakfast or dinner. They love to know where you're from and what you think about the resort and more. The food is outstanding good! We were blown away when we got our dinner menu with a surprise also. Everything is done to perfection. It's like going to a Michelin star restaurant. Instead of giving 5 stars, they will get 6 stars instead. We have memories, we will never forget, and we will tell our friends and family about the resort. We highly recommend Silky Oaks Lodge. Living in the rainforest, is something special. All the best and our warmest regards Nadia and Tage ❤️❤️

Dad and I checked in to Silky Oaks on the tail end of a FNQ road trip. From start to finish we experienced hospitality which surpassed anything we have ever experienced. Greeted by management, checked in by Susannah, shown our thoughtfully appointed treehouse by a lovely lady from Albury, greeted warmly wherever we ventured throughout our stay. Food, bar, restaurant, reception service outstanding & consistent. Everything seamless and efficient without feeling contrived. Professional and laidback staff who clearly enjoy where they work….they all seemed to possess a similar DNA which is a winner when operating at this level. I enjoyed a fabulous spa treatment of exfoliation, massage and scalp treatment from a terrific spa professional from Tuscany. So pleasing to see the mix of local personnel with European & South American…it’s a winner🤩 Can’t wait to come back

Beautiful setting and excellent rooms. Spa was also good. However, service in the restaurant was truly awful for 3 out of the 4 meals I had there. Our waitress was more interested in telling her life story than in serving us. The resort badly needs a restaurant manager.

This is one of the best places I’ve ever had lunch. The restaurant overlooks the Mossman River and it’s a sublime setting. The menu, while brief, was perfectly weighted and we left satisfied. The price I thought was good value. I’m going back again.

This is a review just about the Treehouse restaurant which we visited for lunch. I cannot comment on the hotel stay The restaurant is under a huge verandah high above a lovely peaceful view of the Mossman River. The staff were professional, friendly and engaging. They were very helpful with food and wine selection and happy to alter our meals to suit We had a three course lunch and had a lovely time. I would love to come back and stay another time.

We came for lunch last week and you would be hard pressed to find a more stunning view. The staff were all on their A game. Attentive and friendly. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted sensational. We’ll definitely be back…. Maybe next week!!

I waited 4 years to tailor my journey to include the Baillie Lodges and it was well worth it. I have traveled the world and stayed in luxury resorts but Silky Oaks is special. The food is justifiably Michelin quality and the staff is accommodating to all its customers. We stayed in premium treehouse and would highly recommend the same lodging to all who visit. As a nature lover, I was highly pleased. I identified over 15 different bird species by call and several insect varieties native only to this area. The variety of flora is fabulous! I recommend a walk with the head gardener and a visit to the herb garden to taste the local fruits and herbs. It’s s very hard to list all the benefits of this place and I am running out of space, but if ecology and attention to detail, luxury, a reasonable sense of adventure, fine wines and gourmet food are your interests, one must visit Silky Oaks.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much at this special resort north of Cairns. Each treetop room is a separate space to relax and enjoy the beauty of the rain forest and the relaxed atmosphere of comfort and service. The staff is focused, friendly and responsive and attuned to helping you to relax even from the first encounter. The location is well situated for enjoyable encounters with wildlife or a short drive to Port Douglas and access to the Great Barrier Reef. Breakfast and dinner bring a range of options and we found that they were quite accommodating with our choices and the quality was very good. Every evening we enjoyed the gin drink of the day in the bar and lounge. They were very creative and a wonderful way to unwind from busy days. We both took advantage of a spa experience and had excellent massages followed by a relaxing afternoon enjoying our hammock and deck to just relax. One third of the way in our journey it was nice to take advantage of the washers and dryers that were available to the guests. Special shout out to the wait staff who were so friendly and made our stay that much more enjoyable. A super shoutout to Ella (Ellodie like Melody) who each time brought joy and enthusiasm to each encounter.

We stayed here three nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The room was comfortable. We did not end up using the outdoor tub. The staff were amazing, friendly, professional and kind. The treats in the room were perfect. The food is great. We took advantage of the E bikes, which was fun and had the most incredible possibly best spa experience we’ve ever had and we have had a crazy amount of spa treatments everywhere. I was a little apprehensive about bugs and had no issues. I would recommend using the spray that they have in the room. I ended up with one mosquito bite.
