Siri Heritage Bangkok Hotel

Everything was great, not too expensive, and close to tourist attractions.

Location-wise (this really depends on your preference!) – it's a 5-minute walk from Khao San Road with its bars and go-go dancers. It's also easy to walk to the pier and important temples. However, it's really far from the metro – at least a 25-minute walk, and 45 minutes to Chinatown. And Bangkok buses are a whole other story! There are a couple of sketchy neighborhoods nearby with some homeless people, but they're quiet. Despite that, you'll see plenty of European backpackers bravely slurping noodles from street food stalls. Room – it has all the amenities you need. It's pleasant, and everything works. The air conditioner blows directly onto your head, so it's better to turn the bed around! Then it will blow on your covered legs. It's a rare room type with three full beds: one double and one single. Perfect if you're traveling with a child. The breakfast is VERY good and substantial, with a good variety. On the second day, a team of athletes checked in early and devoured everything like locusts, but there was still enough of everything (just barely) for us. The staff are pleasant and friendly. The hotel is in an old-style building.

Nice hotel, comfortable beds and a small pool... very quiet at night, definitely worth a visit.

It's very close to Pub Street and surprisingly quiet. The only downside is the strong urine smell right at the entrance.
