Antique Hostel

Pretty good hostel! The room was very reasonably sized, perfect for one person. The shower had great water pressure, really woke me up in the morning. Breakfast was decent, though I'm not really used to Turkish food.

Extremely close to the heart of the Old European Quarter, you can walk to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. There are three room types; I stayed in two of them. The sea view room is on the top floor, and the cheapest one is in the basement. The sea view room offers direct views of the strait. The basement room was also fine; I didn't see any bugs, and it wasn't noticeably damp, so I think it's a perfectly acceptable option. However, the facilities are pretty basic. Breakfast is provided daily, consisting of bread, cheese, jam, and coffee. The chef in the restaurant was also very friendly and welcoming. All in all, the location is incredibly convenient, within walking distance of the main attractions: the palace, mosques, squares, and cisterns.

Excellent location, and the breakfast on the rooftop has a beautiful view. I recommend it.

The hotel is worth the money. The breakfast is small but decent and filling. The room distribution is super. The service could definitely be better, but if you push hard enough, they'll get things done.
