Moxy Kuala Lumpur Chinatown

The hotel is within walking distance of Petaling Street and Central Market. After exploring the area and grabbing a bite, we took a Grab to Sungei Wang Plaza and Pavilion, and in the evening, we went on a 'sunset coaster' ride! The Moxy's design concept is pretty good, and the staff are very dedicated. A special shout-out to the guys at the breakfast cafe – even though breakfast service was very slow on the weekend, they tried their best to resolve any issues guests brought up! The room wasn't as small as I expected; the space design was very efficient. It had a chic, minimalist, and practical vintage vibe! The pool on the 9th floor had a great view, but I didn't have time to swim, just took a quick look around. Since we got back very late that night, it wasn't until just before bed that I noticed bloodstains on the Simmons mattress and pillow inserts! Even though the sheets and pillowcases were clean, they were thin enough that the stains still showed through. It was too late to bother with the front desk, so I just put up with it for the night. When checking out, I mentioned it to the guy at the front desk. This is definitely something that needs attention!

The hotel was easy to find, but the surrounding area was a bit messy and dirty. The interior decoration was nice, and there were some free board games on the first floor. Some of the in-room facilities were a bit damaged. Soundproofing was average, and the light rail downstairs made a noticeable sound when it passed by. At 6 AM, the mosque across the street would broadcast prayers loudly for about five minutes. Overall, I was still satisfied.

The room, though small, is fully equipped and perfect for a young couple's vacation. The location is excellent, right next to Chinatown's Porcelain Factory Street, which is incredibly convenient. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable.

Taking a taxi from the airport right to the hotel entrance, the purple neon sign is immediately visible and very distinctive at night. After checking in, I took the elevator to my room, which clearly showcased the young and sleek Moxy style. The room itself was quite compact, with the hanging area, vanity, and TV all cleverly integrated into a limited space. It's perfectly adequate for a one or two-night stay. Near the entrance, there are two small separate rooms for the toilet and shower, providing a nice dry/wet separation. What's interesting is that the small table and stools are foldable and hung on the wall, a great way to maximize space. The bedding is soft, and with the curtains drawn at night, you can definitely enjoy a good lie-in. The only minor drawback is the mediocre soundproofing. In the morning, I could vaguely hear the loud slam of a door from the adjacent room after someone left.

The location is super convenient, really close to the MTR with great public transport links. There are tons of attractions nearby, plus Indian and Nepalese restaurants. The soundproofing could be better, but it didn't affect my sleep.

The environment: The room was clean, tidy, well-equipped, and had a great view. The room was cleaned daily. Reception: The front desk service was excellent, professional, and polite. Hotel facilities: The gym and swimming pool were fully equipped. Transportation: It's very close to Chinatown, KLCC, and KL Central. Surroundings: There are many convenient dining options and a shopping mall nearby.

Pretty good! The room was new and the facilities were clean. It's located near Petaling Street but still quiet at night. They even gave us drink vouchers to redeem at the 9th-floor bar. It was a nice stay.
