Chill Out Bar and Bungalows

This place is less about the accommodation, and more about the experience living in the jungle of Tonsai. The room is simple, not the cleanest, very remote and extremely hot (can be a struggle to cool down when no electricity for 12 hours a day), BUT, the location is amazing and the fellow travellers you meet out here are great. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for something less luxurious, but more of a tropical experience in the jungle.

Lovely staff. Nice, chill vibe. Several nice restaurants and bars close by. A lot of space on the beach since most people here are climbers. Live music and fire show Fridays and Tuesdays.

Amazing Amazing location, difficult to walk too so boat is best option unless you like hiking/climbing with your bags. Gorgeous beach very chilled

Not in main island, pay attention if you delay your check in to a night hour. Address is not clear until booking is confirmed and in some occasions is non refundable. Many trips is not pickin you up from this hostel so it is also disappointing if you already booked a boat trip for instance.

Jungle vibes, but is it for you? The location was incredible, lush jungle setting, with a real back to basics feel. The bungalow itself was tired and needs a refresh to be good. The staff were super laid back and friendly, like the whole bay area. If you want matching bed linen, hot water, fridge, toiletries and all that, this is not the place for you. But if you want a chilled out jungle vibe with loads of local bars and places to eat with like minded people, most of whom love climbing or the locals that like playing their guitars and having a good old sing song (before the electric comes) this is deffo the place to be. We wished we could have stayed longer and would come back in a heart beat. Wats bar a 5 min walk is a good place to hang out and waste a day drinking, staff are unbelievably funny and the beers are cold.
