W Barcelona

A pleasant stay with a sea view. Convenient for walks along the beach, and the service was good. The room facilities are a bit old, but overall it was fine. If you want to add breakfast, you have to add all breakfasts to get the discounted rate, which is a bit unreasonable.

This is my second time at W Barcelona. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so it wasn't too crowded. Both times, checking in took a long time. I paid to upgrade to a king room with a view at the front desk, which came out to about 5000 a night, but honestly, it felt pretty average. There are no shops or Chinese restaurants nearby, and ordering delivery takes forever. The bar on the 2nd floor closes quite early; we barely had any time to relax before it shut down. Breakfast was good and tasty, but the staff were so busy that getting our coffee took ages.

Great location, but the room was just okay! The hotel was crowded and quite noisy.

The good thing was that I arrived at 10 AM and was allowed to check in early. The bad thing was that there were small moths in the room, about four or five of them, some flying around. They changed my room but offered no other compensation. It's very close to the beach but inconvenient for getting to tourist attractions.

The room amenities were as described online, though the beds looked quite old and the facilities were generally average. The lighting in the room was a bit dim. However, the service was definitely on point, and the sea view and location were arguably the best. The gym was also a thoughtful touch, with water and towels placed on every treadmill.

The air conditioning in the room was so loud, I couldn't sleep all night. They also wouldn't let me have a late check-out.

Everything was good, but the breakfast was just average.
