You can tell this is an older hotel. The lobby smells lovely, and the location is super convenient, right in Myeongdong. Sushiro is just across the street. The windows open, but it gets really noisy with them open, and the building opposite is very close. The room is a bit small, and it has a bathtub, so you have to shower standing in it. It's really convenient for shopping, and you can even walk to Cheonggyecheon Stream.

The location is super convenient, but the room is really tiny... 😂 That really detracted from the experience. There was no water provided in the room on the first day, only on the following two days. The lobby is spacious and there's also a cafe and dessert shop.

Let's start with the positives, which are truly hard to ignore – the location is absolutely fantastic. It's right at the end of Myeongdong's main street, so stepping out means diving straight into the shopping crowds. To the right, you'll find the Olive Young Myeongdong flagship store, and across the street, there's Starbucks, Sushiro, and a CU convenience store. You'll never have to worry about finding late-night snacks or drinks. The hotel's public areas are also quite aesthetically pleasing. Transportation is also hassle-free. From the airport, you can take the 6015 luxury airport limousine bus directly to "Seoul Royal Hotel/Euljiro 1-ga Station." The stop is very close to the hotel. Just walk a few steps with your luggage, turn right at the small intersection, and walk up a slight incline for about a dozen meters, and you're there. However, a word of caution: during the peak summer season, there are a lot of people waiting for the bus. On our day, we queued outdoors for over an hour, hot and sunny, sweating non-stop. If you're traveling with elderly people or children, be prepared for this. Now, about the actual stay. The room was indeed on the smaller side, and with the summer peak season prices, the value for money wasn't great. The facilities show their age. What impacted our sleep the most was the refrigerator, which had noticeable noise. We ended up unplugging it both nights to get some peace and quiet. Also, on weekend evenings, the street music played until midnight. If you have high demands for your sleeping environment, I'd advise considering this carefully. In summary: if you're prioritizing convenient shopping and don't mind a small or dated room, spending most of your day out and just returning to sleep at night, then this place is a great fit. But if room comfort, a quiet environment, and value for money are more important to you, then you might want to compare a few more options. This is just my personal experience for your reference.

It was okay. The hotel's exterior environment is nice, but the interior is pretty average. The price isn't cheap, and breakfast was very basic. Perhaps there aren't many options in Korea, so it was quite limited. Also, the room was a bit small.

An older hotel with a good location, but the facilities are terrible. There's no private bathroom; you have to stand in the bathtub to shower, and there's a shower curtain – what era is this? The room is tiny, just big enough for the bed, and you can barely turn around in the bathroom.

Myeongdong is a great first stop when visiting Korea with kids. It's located right on the main Myeongdong street, making it very easy for taxis to find, and there's a supermarket right outside for convenient shopping. The hotel service is quite good; the rooms are cleaned meticulously, and the bedding is comfortable. Lotte Department Store and the duty-free shop are just about a 5-minute walk away.

The room size was decent, and getting around was super convenient. Ordering food delivery was also a breeze. Hotel prices in Seoul have gone up this year, but the location in the heart of Myeongdong is fantastic, surrounded by tons of great restaurants. Highly recommend!

I chose this hotel again, and it felt like rooms were a bit tight during the summer. This time I booked a king-size room; the bed was quite large, but the room itself was a bit small. In hindsight, the first room I stayed in was the most spacious, even though it didn't have a view. Aside from the slightly smaller room, everything else was great. The view outside the window was nice too. I'm not sure if it's because I stay here often, but this time they even gave me complimentary chocolates, which was a lovely surprise. I was very satisfied with the softness of the bed; it was super comfortable to sleep on. The air conditioning in the room was also incredibly powerful; sleeping under the duvet was so refreshing. The room temperature was perfect, to the point where I always had the illusion that it wasn't hot outside, even though Seoul has been scorching recently. The room cleaning was also very timely and done very well. Overall, I still feel it's a great place, and given its excellent location, I'm thinking I'll probably choose to stay here again next time.
