If you’re looking for a place to truly disconnect, slow down, and heal, Aukọ Resort is definitely a unique choice. Surrounded by nature and located right in the middle of the mountains, the property has a very special and peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are designed more like tents, with just the essentials and no TV, which actually helps you completely disconnect from everyday life. The yoga classes throughout the day are a great touch and make it easy to relax, release stress, and embrace a slower pace. I especially enjoyed the singing bowl sessions — they were very calming and memorable. However, for the price, I honestly don’t feel the experience is worth the money. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. I understand that a wellness resort may offer less variety, but the quality should make up for it. Unfortunately, there was very little to choose from and the food quality did not match the price point. Lunch and dinner were included, but the portions were quite small and the overall experience was just okay. Again, considering the price of the stay, I expected much more. The staff were kind and friendly, but the team clearly needs more training, especially in terms of service standards and guest engagement. I was also disappointed that the management did not come to greet or interact with us during our stay. Most of the guests were Vietnamese, yet I noticed the manager seemed to spend more time speaking with foreign guests. As a guest, that left me feeling overlooked. Overall, I really appreciate the concept, the beautiful nature, the unique design, and the wellness activities. This could be an amazing retreat with stronger service training, better food quality, and more attentive management. Beautiful concept and great place to disconnect — but unfortunately, not worth the price in its current state.
