Bolianhui Hotel(Monument to the people's Liberation Shibati Store)

During my stay at the Bolian Hotel at Jiefangbei Shibati, the restaurant service was definitely a highlight. The staff were warm, attentive, and quick to respond, while the standard meals were decent and reliable. Situated on a historic site, the hotel has a rich cultural heritage and is within walking distance of attractions like Shibati and Jiefangbei, making it very convenient for sightseeing. However, the location of the room I was assigned was less than ideal. It faced the street intersection, and the corridor outside the elevators was right next to a restaurant's back door and a greasy stairwell leading to a billiard room, which made for a rather unappealing view. Overall, the hardware facilities are acceptable, but the room location is a weak point. For those who care a lot about peace and quiet, as well as a clean and tidy hallway, I recommend contacting the hotel in advance when booking.

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. I booked a two-night stay for September 25th and 26th on the evening of the 24th. I noticed other hotels were charging extra for those dates, but this one wasn't, and the price was very reasonable. I honestly didn't expect much, thinking it would be similar to a guesthouse at that price point. However, when I checked in, I was amazed – I thought I'd entered the wrong hotel! This hotel has a distinct Republic of China (ROC) era theme, with many period furniture pieces and decorations like rickshaws and gramophones. The lobby also has a display of Qipaos, bags, and accessories, and the front desk told me I could wear them for free to take photos around the hotel. The lovely front desk staff even upgraded my room when I checked in, from a 1.5-meter bed to a 1.8-meter king-size bed. Since it was the Mid-Autumn Festival on my check-in day, they also gave me two mooncakes and very warmly escorted me to the elevator. I was so impressed that I specifically asked for her staff ID to give her a compliment, but she just said it was her job. I had to keep asking until she finally told me her ID was number 15. What surprised me most was that when I checked out, the hotel even gave me a farewell gift. I was rushing to the airport then and didn't open it, but when I did while waiting for my flight, I couldn't help but be impressed again by the hotel's generosity. The gift contained local specialties like hotpot seasoning, a fridge magnet, and small fried dough twists. This is the first positive review I've ever written for a hotel, and it's because this hotel genuinely made me feel welcome and warm. Their service is truly better than many major hotels. If I get the chance to visit Chongqing again, I will definitely stay here.

An exceptional hotel that exceeded our expectations! The building is a former Republic of China era site, and the interior decor fully embraces that vintage retro style while the rooms feel very high-end. The rates during the National Day holiday were quite reasonable, and the service attitude was top-notch throughout. It is very close to Jiefangbei and Shibati, as well as the Kaixuan Road Elevator. Highly recommended!

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and duvet covers were clean and tidy, and the pillows were good. The hotel is convenient for both parking and taxis. The hotel's decor style is nice, quiet and comfortable, and the lobby is very distinctive.

This hotel has a Republican China-era aesthetic. It's well-located with convenient transportation, close to attractions like Shibati and Jiefangbei. The rooms are clean and well-soundproofed, and the breakfast is quite varied. The front desk service is warm, thoughtful, and meticulous. Overall, it offers great value for money.

The renovation is great, and you can even try on Qipao dresses. The free breakfast was also decent. Highly recommend!

I'm very satisfied! I've stayed here before, and now I've recommended it to my friends. The service and environment are both excellent. We even got to rent qipaos for free for photos, and the staff were all very friendly. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again when I come to Chongqing. The twin room was quite spacious, well-decorated, and clean. Highly recommended!

The decor is quite appealing, with a Republican era style. The hygiene is good, and the disposable slippers provided are comfortable. The service is also excellent, and they offer luggage storage. Overall, it's a great value for money. If you're taking the subway to Jiaochangkou, even though it's only a few hundred meters from the hotel, the hotel is located by the riverside at a lower level. If you have luggage and find it difficult to walk through Shibati, you can take the main road. There's an elevator for 1 yuan that takes you down, and then it's just a short walk to the hotel.
