Holiday Inn BANGKOK SILOM by IHG

I genuinely recommend this place! The service is warm and friendly, and the facilities are complete. The room was very clean. There's a small market downstairs and a 7-Eleven, which is super convenient for last-minute shopping. The surrounding area is very quiet, and it's close to all the attractions, making it easy to get around by taxi.

Overall, it was decent. The hotel is quite close to Iconsiam; you can walk and take a ferry to get there. However, it's a bit far from the nearest BTS station, about a 10-minute walk, which makes it a bit inconvenient for visiting other attractions. The hotel's facilities are standard; it has everything you'd expect. But since it's close to the street and Thai drivers tend to be quite aggressive with loud engine noises, the room gets very noisy in the mornings and evenings! As for the service, the Trip.com description stated a 1000 THB deposit per room, but the front desk asked for 2000 THB. I wonder if the staff actually checked the relevant policies?

The location isn't great; it's about a 19-minute walk from the BTS station. There are two 7-Eleven stores and a cosmetics shop nearby. The front desk seems to discriminate against third-party bookings. My room type was supposed to be on floors 4-17, but when I arrived at noon, they told me I'd have to wait an hour. When I came back at 2 PM, I still had to wait longer. Eventually, they gave me a room on the 7th floor. The window of this room faced another building, so there was absolutely no sunlight; I even had to turn on the lights at 2 or 3 PM when the sun is usually brightest. Furthermore, the Caucasian couple checking in before me got a free upgrade, but I didn't. Is this discrimination? Also, I stayed for two nights, and after finishing the tea bags on the first night, they weren't replenished on the second day. I'm really surprised; a Holiday Inn shouldn't be like this.

The room was a bit tired, but clean and spacious, with all the necessary amenities – towels, bathrobes, slippers, an ironing board, an iron, etc. Good breakfasts. There’s a beautiful lobby where you can wait for a taxi and enjoy good coffee. The only downside is the heavy traffic in this area, which makes getting a taxi a bit problematic.

Excellent location in Silom, Bangkok city center. This hotel offers international 5-star quality with a fantastic breakfast. Definitely recommend for future trips.

The front desk staff can speak basic Chinese. They were very welcoming. The room had a large, clean, and tidy bed. There's a 7-Eleven and another supermarket nearby, as well as a pizza place and KFC, making it very convenient. It's less than 2 kilometers from Sathorn Pier, so you can walk there to catch a boat to ICONSIAM, Wat Arun, Wat Pho, and the Grand Palace. It's less than 1 kilometer from the BTS Silom Line. You can take the BTS to Siam shopping district and Chulalongkorn Night Market. Bangkok is a quiet and safe international city, perfect for travel and leisure.

Not bad. Kids' breakfast is free. The hotel is a bit old, though. Lots of Emirates airline crew stay here daily. The location is pretty good, close to everything, but Bangkok traffic is real, so getting a taxi during morning and evening rush hour can take a while.

It's really hard to find a room with a double bed over 1.3 meters in Bangkok, but we finally found this Holiday Inn. The location is pretty good too, about a 10-minute walk to the BTS station, and there's a 7-Eleven right around the corner, which is convenient. The service was very nice, and some of the front desk staff even spoke Chinese. The breakfast was also quite substantial.
