Holiday Inn BANGKOK SILOM by IHG

A truly pleasant and comfortable stay. We arrived at the hotel at 3 AM due to our flight schedule, but the front desk staff greeted us with warm smiles and even escorted us to the elevator. Overall, everything at this hotel was just right. The room size was perfect, and while the decor wasn't brand new, it certainly wasn't dated. At night, apart from the hum of the air conditioning, I heard absolutely no other noise. The location is conveniently situated – not too far, but not too close to the commercial district and famous attractions. Through the round window in the room, you can see the pixelated building in the distance. Oh, and the hotel has a beautiful and spacious lobby that just puts you in a good mood.

Traveling with a child, the facilities were a bit dated, but overall everything was pretty good, except for a finicky shower head. I hope the cleaning can be a bit more thorough in the future. First, there was a strong odor in the walk-in closet, and then on the last night, in the early hours, I found a centipede near the bathroom door and dealt with it myself. While it's normal to find insects on lower floors in a country with Thailand's climate, I feel this is unacceptable for an old luxury hotel, especially on the sixteenth floor. Thankfully, my child or wife didn't see or come into contact with it, as an injury or fright would have been very upsetting.

The service is excellent. They have a pool and a tennis court, and the breakfast spread is particularly generous. It's considered a more upscale hotel.

The service is still as good as ever. The room was clean, and there was plenty of drinking water. The fitness center was clean and tidy. The breakfast had a good variety.

Facilities: Although the facilities are a bit old, they are generally complete. It's a shame there's no laundry room; that would be a great addition. Hygiene: Very tidy and the hotel is very clean. Environment: It's very convenient to get to the station and pier from here. Recommended. Service: The hotel service is excellent, and both the front desk and concierge are very proactive.

The room felt a bit old, like those older chain hotels. However, the overall experience was great. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help. Both breakfast and dinner buffets were plentiful with a wide variety of cuisines. The location was also quite good; it was easy to get a taxi. It's a bit of a walk to the BTS station, about ten minutes, which can feel long in the heat. The only downside was the air conditioning, which was a little noisy and couldn't be turned down.

Staying here was great! The hotel's interior is clean and the air conditioning is super strong. The staff are friendly, and even though breakfast was very busy, the attendants were incredibly quick at clearing tables. There was a really wide variety of breakfast items, so you could try many different foods. If you wanted something hot in the morning, you could get it, and a major plus was the delicious congee.
