Châteauhotel de Havixhorst

Located a 20-minute drive from Giethoorn, this castle hotel boasts top-notch ambiance, dining, and service! The main building is immediately striking, evoking the feel of an English manor from a movie or TV show. The ground floor houses a bar and restaurant, while the side wings also have restaurants connected to gardens and orchards, perfect for large weddings. Floors 2-4 of the main building contain 13 guest rooms, each with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, elegant decor, and comprehensive amenities. Since it's a hotel restaurant, we had dinner there. Our family of three ordered a set meal for two, but we couldn't finish it all, so we took the leftover fries back to our room for a late-night snack. The gardens, orchards, and vegetable gardens were a feast for the eyes, introducing us to many plants we'd never seen before – a truly eye-opening experience! A truly worthwhile trip!

This hotel is perfect for families with children. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are very clean. The hotel has a secluded, idyllic feel, with lush greenery and blooming flowers. The living room on the first floor is also very beautiful!

The most satisfying hotel I stayed at in Europe. It's a castle with a great surrounding environment. The breakfast and dinner were also fantastic. There are many wild birds and rabbits nearby. The hotel has a unique garden with many statues, and the rooms are also very charming. I'll bring my family to experience it next time.
