Wayfinder Newport

One of the most beautiful hotel i’ve never seen. Fitness is great and to be resilient from horrible incidence. Good Job 👍🏻

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. For a new hotel, they took a lot of short cuts and they need to go room to room and fix things. There is a light switch by the door that doesn’t turn on any lights, the lighting is minimal, the air conditioner and the bathroom fan both sounded like an airplane ready to take off! On a positive note, the bed was comfortable. The gym had 2 broken bikes and old treadmills making it unappealing. It did have a nice bar and coffee cafe.

The a/c in the room was not working, and I had to get ready for an event. It was in the 80's that day and room located on top floor so very hot. Maintenance did come and fix, but it took quite some time for it to kick in and cool the room down. That night when I got back, I turned the tv on. Apparently remote batteries died, and I could not change channel or turn tv back off. Had to call maintenance again around midnight. They had to go behind tv to turn it off (tv was hung on wall and I was not able to reach the plug to do it myself). There is NO water pressure; my daughter did not wash her hair for the 2 nights we were there because it would have taken forever. I also rented a second room for my son and his wife; they arrived from out of state to also get ready for an event, and their room had no outlets that worked. They too had to call maintenance so they could get ready. They were late for the event. The hotel is not located in the downtown location, so do not expect to walk anywhere except the ****** which is across the street. Very overpriced.

What a delightful surprise! The hotel is hip and friendly, with attractive spaces and thoughtful touches. Free bikes made it a pleasure to get to downtown Newport. Easy walk to Empire Tea and Coffee, Bridge Liquors, and Stop and Shop. A stunning park is behind with trails through a forest and an excellent playground. The room was stylish and bright. The front desk staff was so helpful and courteous. I enjoyed the pool with a great playlist in the background. I highly recommend the Wayfinder Hotel--one of my favorites of all the hotels I've stayed in worldwide. PS: And the best part is, it's affordable!

we loved the location. It was close to where we wanted to tour. We had help to find our room.

Great trip, close to " mansions" and Newport music festival...Staff was very helpful, kind. Room was clean. Plenty of parking. There were certain fees for amenities Etc; I wish they would give US the option as to whether WE WANTED THE " amenities" and accordingly adjust the bill :) Our access to Internet was non existent for one day...as, apparently, bad weather plays havoc on Internet/ wifi. Also wish they had more options for breakfast....I may have overlooked, but do they have a brochure re local restaurants/ activities. We were there for brothers birthday and concert so additional activities were not a requisite. We' d stay there again but further discuss the " upcharge" for " stuff" we were either not going to use .

the staff was friendly and they gave out welcome drinks at the bar. everything was clean and they had spacious rooms. the location was good too was close to a walmart and shopping center and a lot of restaurants. my only issue was they had thin walls and we could hear people from outside or upstairs. other than that everything was perfect!
