The true character of a hotel is determined by their hospitality and this hotel failed miserably. We had a booking at the Travancore Court for the 11th-13th of May. I managed to get an upgraded room for the 12th, during the Ixigo app sale. On check in, the front desk staff confirmed the bookings on their system, but a day later, it mysteriously disappeared from their system. No proper explanation or resolution provided, just that your booking for the next day is cancelled. No decency seen as no attempt was made to inform the guests of this new development in advance. The front desk staff even absurdly tried to blame the app for this error. If this sort of treatment can be meted out to a family, 24 hrs after check in, there is no stopping this establishment from doing much worse. This sort of behavior requires a consumer case to be filed against them, but being doctors from out of state on holiday with family, I would not want to waste my time on such an establishment. The purpose of this review is to inform future patrons thinking of booking here, do so at your own peril. Look elsewhere if peace of mind is your top priority.
