The hotel location is convenient and the facilities are complete. The room is very clean and the bed is soft and comfortable. Special thanks to our butler Elly for her thoughtful and prompt service. She was very helpful and attentive. Thank you very much! I will definitely come again next time.

The room was very comfortable. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. The room had great natural light, the cleanliness was meticulous, and the soundproofing was good too. The service was thoughtful and responsive to all requests. The environment was quiet, and I felt very at ease during my stay. It's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Excellent experience overall! We visited during the off-season, and for just over 800 a night, we felt like we were getting a 2000-level stay. We played tennis twice on the hotel courts and had a great workout at the gym. Everything was fantastic! The only minor drawback was the breakfast, which was just so-so for a five-star hotel. Other than that, everything was superb!!!

Having visited Qingdao multiple times for both leisure and business, and having stayed in numerous high-end hotels, MGM Qingdao still manages to impress me and stands out as a genuinely recommended luxury choice. From the moment I stepped in, the brand's sophisticated style, the stunning mountain and sea views, the attentive service, and the solid quality progressively unfolded, delivering a stay experience far exceeding expectations. It truly sets the benchmark for luxury hotels in Qingdao. The hotel's location is absolutely superb, nestled in the heart of Laoshan District, backed by the foothills of Mount Laoshan, and directly facing the golden sands of Shilaoren Beach. A short walk from the hotel brings you to the seaside, making it incredibly convenient for enjoying the sea breeze, strolling on the beach, and watching sunrises and sunsets. The surrounding transportation network is excellent, with a subway station nearby, ensuring smooth access to popular attractions like May Fourth Square, Olympic Sailing Center, and Laoshan Scenic Area. Whether for a leisurely vacation or a business trip, the location is simply impeccable. The iconic golden lion, Leo, at the main entrance is magnificent, showcasing MGM's brand heritage while symbolizing good fortune. Upon entering the lobby, I was enveloped by an artistic ambiance, with Dali's surrealist piano sculptures adorning the space. The blend of modern design and artistic aesthetics, coupled with ample natural light and elegant soft furnishings, creates a luxurious yet understated atmosphere that exudes sophistication. What touched me the most was the hotel's service – attentive, thoughtful, and meticulous throughout, yet perfectly discreet and non-intrusive. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and swift, with staff who were warm and patient, proactively introducing hotel facilities and local tips, showing warmth in every detail. Whether I needed travel advice, assistance with a request, or help with a minor issue, the staff responded and resolved it immediately, remembering guests' preferences and needs, providing butler-style service that made every guest feel genuinely at home.

This MGM is quite bad, I'm not sure if it's really an MGM brand hotel. Let's start with the positives: the hairdryer and toilet were good. Everything else was a disaster. I booked two side sea-view rooms because there are four of us. The so-called butler contacted me in advance to ask about my room preferences. I requested the two rooms be together, or at least on the same floor, and to prepare a set of children's amenities. When I arrived at past 10 PM, neither of our rooms were on the same floor. You can imagine how inconvenient it was to take care of my child, especially since you need a key card to access their floor. Plus, there were no children's amenities in the room. Cars require license plate registration. I told the front desk, and they told me to send the license plate to the butler for registration. Later I found out the butler was only responsible for license plate registration and nothing else. Furthermore, when I extended our stay by one day, I specifically messaged them on WeChat, but they still didn't register it, and the barrier didn't lift when we tried to leave, forcing me to call the front desk again. On the first night, check-in at the front desk was extremely inefficient. It took about twenty minutes for two rooms, with not a single polite word spoken, and they didn't even look up. I don't know where MGM found these 'princesses.' My package was supposed to include breakfast and milk tea, but they didn't inform me about the package benefits. This front desk wouldn't even be tolerated at a budget motel. The bathroom doors in both rooms wouldn't close properly, and there was a gap on the other side, so after showering, water would spill all over the floor outside. The doors were also moldy, and the shower pressure was weak and difficult to use. There was no place in the bathroom to put toiletries – anyone particular about showering should avoid this place. The breakfast was pretty much the same both times we had it, not much variety. I saw on Xiaohongshu that this is the standard for five-star hotels in Qingdao, and Huafu also gets a lot of complaints, so I don't know if that's true, but this service certainly opened my eyes. It's a new hotel, yet so terrible. The front desk staff like that shouldn't be there, they're an eyesore. In three days, I only encountered one staff member who smiled and greeted us.

This is my second stay at MGM Qingdao, and the first experience was already fantastic, so I directly chose MGM Qingdao again. When checking in, I told the front desk I wanted a room with a good view for taking photos, and they arranged a room with an excellent view for me. What was particularly touching was the concierge, Elly, who arranged a birthday welcome in advance, complete with decorations, fruit, mousse desserts, and a birthday card – it was truly moving. The room experience was superb, and I will definitely choose MGM Qingdao again next time.
