New Haven Hotel

Thank you for accommodating my early check-in ,I really appreciate it. The staff were very friendly, and the location is extremely convenient for walking to Yale. One small suggestion would be to improve the bathroom floor design, as water can easily spread to the sink area after showering. Having a toilet lid would also be a nice improvement.

Everything about our stay was great, except for the housekeeping communication. We stayed for 4 days, 3 nights, but our bed was never made. On the second day, I asked reception to have our room cleaned, but the staff only replaced the towels and cleared the garbage. On our third day, I asked the reception and found out that bed-making had to be requested one day in advance. Unfortunately, by then it was too late. I was quite disappointed that this policy was not explained during check-in or clearly stated somewhere in the room. A simple notice or explanation would have helped avoid this misunderstanding.

Great lounge area, but would have loved if there was some sort of continental breakfast. Even if it was just pastries and cereal (without having to buy cereal and milk separately). Also, didn’t really like that the fan and light in the bathroom were connected. So I couldn’t just have the light on.

Good location good price bathroom and room are clean, water pressure is somewhat low.

Great location. We were able to walk to a lot of the places that we wanted to visit.

Large room

Location was perfect for us with quick access to Yale University and its nearby restaurants and shopping areas. Housekeeping services are minimum (just refills of amenities, exchange of towels, and garbage emptying) which fit us perfectly. Only downside is no restaurant but considering the location it was no problem - plus there is a lobby shop for those “emergencies” when you don’t want to walk anywhere. All staff were very kind and service minded.
