Talkeetna Denali View Lodge and Cabins

Traditional property with magnificent views. Dawn our host could not have been more helpful or informative. We had a fabulous stay here. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is fantastic. There are lovely walks from the front door and Talkeetna down town is an easy 15 minutes away. There genuinely seems to nothing that Dawn doesn’t know about local wildlife and places to, she is indefatigable, cooking, sorting, socialising….. whilst there we saw a mummy moose with her twins, a bear was seen in the road near the house and the birds were wonderful. For a real Alaskan experience I recommend this b & b.

Great place to stay. The host Dawn was so welcoming and very informative. Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was wonderful - just what we needed for our planned adventures. Thank you. Shame the moose and her baby didn’t show up the night we stayed!

Everything was wonderful! Our room was comfortable, clean and the view was spectacular! Dawn, James, and Brooks were fantastic hosts. They were knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was very good. We would stay again if we make it back to Alaska

What a beautiful, comfy inn. Dawn is delightful and makes a delicious breakfast. The view from the deck is amazing, including a clear line to see Denali. Large moose can be seem in the pond.

What a welcoming place to stay! Dawn does a wonderful job taking care of those who stay there as well is a wealth of knowledge about things to do in Alaska. Fabulous views and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. We caught a glimpse of a small bear and a moose with two calves while we were there. Beware - Mosquitos are everywhere.

Fabulous stay. Dawn could not have been kinder or more generous. Lovely breakfasts, great local recommendations (absolutely do not miss the opportunity take a flight over Denali with K2). Sweet dog, kindness and lovely hospitality. Super place to stay near Talkeetna.

What a wonderful place to stay!! It was not far from the main road, but felt very secluded. The property is beautiful and the view of the mountains from there was spectacular. We stayed in one of the cabins and loved it. Dawn and James were great hosts. Dawn even prepared some gluten-free items for my husband for breakfast. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Four of us, two couples, stayed at Talkeetna Denali View Lodge and Cabins for one night last week. We absolutely LOVED it. What an amazing place! We had two rooms in the main house. They were carefully appointed, and the view out the windows was terrific. The outdoor porch was wonderful for cocktails, even with coldish weather. The living area of the house was comfortable, warm, and inviting. It is obvious that the owner, Dawn, worked in Alaska's tourism industry. She knows how to run a lodge. She is extremely friendly and informative. She knows everything about Alaska! She gave us wonderful advice for the rest of the trip, which we have been following. Dawn's breakfast was superb. Wow! She made a kind of casserole riff on a French toast recipe. It was delicious. We told her that we plan on returning for a longer stay at some point in the future, and we mean it! Finally, her dog, Brooks, was adorable! We loved him!

We stayed in the Trapper cabin and it was awesome. Great bed, lots of room and seclusion as needed. Complimentary breakfast is the best I’ve had in Alaska. Our innkeeper really knows how to treat her guests. I would definitely book this again. The weather was so perfect. We could see Denali from the property.
