The hotel view and breakfast were both nice, but the service was frankly speechless! I arrived at the front desk close to 2 PM and was told a room would be ready in 20 minutes. As a result, I ended up waiting in the lobby for nearly 40 minutes, and we had to go and ask about it ourselves. Meanwhile, the front desk staff were chatting away—laughing and talking so loudly. The lobby was freezing cold. It wasn't until I angrily urged them and asked when we would get our room that they finally rushed to sort it out! Their service attitude was extremely arrogant, and I told them right there on the spot that they should go and learn a thing or two from Mandarin Oriental Macau!

The Mandarin Oriental is truly worth it every single time. The front desk even upgraded us to a Tower View room, from which we could also see the Grand Lisboa. The view was absolutely stunning, and the service was impeccable—attentive and thoughtful. I will definitely choose the Mandarin Oriental Macau again next time.

This is a 5-star review I'm happily giving! I frequently visit Macau for shopping, but this time, Mandarin Oriental truly blew me away. I now declare this my favorite view in Macau: for just a third of the price of Encore, you get the exact same panoramic view of the Nam Van Lake and the Macau skyline. The hotel faces west, so at sunset, the golden glow washes over the entire property, creating a warm, vintage ambiance. That natural celestial radiance is far more luxurious than any ostentatious decor. Plus, it's very close to the old Peninsula district, making dining and exploring much more convenient than staying near the Eiffel Tower in the newer Cotai area.

We recently stayed at Mandarin Oriental, Macau and had a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. Special thanks to our butler, Michelle, who went above and beyond. The thoughtful birthday cake, beautiful custom decorations were such lovely surprises. Her warmth and attention to detail made our stay feel personal and special. We also want to give credit to the housekeeping team — the room was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained throughout our stay. The overall service was outstanding, and we left feeling genuinely appreciated as guests. We will definitely choose Mandarin Oriental, Macau again for our next visit. Highly recommended!

From check-in onwards, the staff were extremely professional and attentive. Every detail in the room's setup showed thoughtful care—from the water temperature and showerhead angle to the room temperature, everything was just right. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, ranging from Chinese to Western cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised to find coconut water and green juice available, which are great for body detox. I was also very satisfied with the soap-making workshop arranged by the hotel.

Mandarin Oriental Macau experience 😉 My stay was beyond satisfying, The understated luxury was incredible, Had the Bak Kut Teh, Tasted the vanilla Napoleon, Watched the sunset, Dined at The Manor, Sampled the red wine, **The tree grew (this seems like a possible typo or a very poetic/personal observation, I'll translate it literally but note its ambiguity), Saw the night view, Thankful for eyes that are good at finding beauty, Life's scenery is on the journey! This is what a hotel that truly wants to do well looks like, Thank you! The only drawback is the lack of entertainment facilities at the hotel, I suggest adding entertainment options that the hotel excels at!

I loved the location and free upgrade to higher floor and nice views on Macau. Very good experience helping with late check out and daily complementary cookies, fruits and tea. Highly recommended for staying on Macau peninsula side. Relaxing pool and gym with sauna facilities.

Pros: Very quiet, which is truly rare in bustling Macau. The views are nice, and the service attitude is great. The room is equipped with a universal adapter, and it is within walking distance to popular attractions like the Ruins of St. Paul's. Cons: The rooms are a bit dated, the hairdryer is subpar, many of the staff are expats and mainly communicate in English, and the hotel lacks its own shuttle bus and is quite far from the ferry terminal.

Stayed at the Mandarin Oriental, Macau during the National Day holiday, and the overall experience was great. The location is very convenient—just a few minutes' walk to One Central, Macau Tower, and Nam Van Lake. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room directly faced Nam Van Lake, offering fantastic views both day and night. Service was wonderful: check-in and check-out were swift, staff proactively helped with our luggage, and housekeeping requests were promptly handled. Overall, it's a great fit for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway while catching a few shows.
