Good vibe

It was our first time visit in Maldives and literally we were fascinated with the breathtaking views with sunny beaches, colorful water, nature and with diversified foods. We lived at Mafushi for few days among which Sunrise Beach and Spa was one of the best place to stay. We really enjoyed their food variety and accommodation. Especially staff Ms. Ayswariya was amazing ! She was always smiling. Served us even out of the box to avail best options to explore different water activities and private islands visits. We will highly recommend her services.

staff always look busy. Very bad attitude.Very bad experience. They don't serve me cutlery to eat with. The restaurant wasn't busy when I entered. but I want to highlight. receptionist talking very good 😊 and they very funny. Hotel is not good.

This is regarding the excursion section of the hotel, we booked a half day snorkeling tour on 30th Julyv2025, we left in the morning with extremely bad weather conditions, they promised us 3 snorkeling locations however due to bad weather and dangerously high tide we had to return within a few minutes of going to the first snorkeling point, after speaking to the management they refused to given a refund saying they have to cover their petrol costs ect, absolutely disgusting experience DO NOT EVER USE Sunrise beach hotel excursions !!!

Do not book your excursions through this hotel! My partner and I booked a ‘Half Day’ trip which included 3 snorkelling points and lunch on a sandbank. We were with 8 other people. When we left in the morning the weather was beautiful, however when we got to the first snorkelling point, it was windy, cold and pouring down rain. Our guide said ‘if the weather conditions continue we will have to go back to Maafushi’, we all understood because it was really bad conditions. After 30 minutes of waiting, the guide said we could start snorkelling, many of us were very uncomfortable because the weather hadn’t changed much, it was still harsh winds and rain. We had a professional swimmer in our group and he went in the water for 3minutes and came out - he said it’s too harsh. Barely any of us felt safe to go in. Those that did go in went in for 2-3 minutes. After 20 minutes, they gave us lunch and took us to the sandbank. Then we headed back to Maafushi. All 10 of us complained because we weren’t happy with the service, we understood the weather is in no one’s control however none of us felt comfortable or safe so why not bring us back to the island? We asked for a refund the managers said ‘No because we have to pay for fuel and if we give you a refund we won’t make any profit.’ They were completely unprofessional and their customer service was terrible.
